To The Directors / Principals Colleges affiliated to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow Sub: Expression of interest for Co-Hosting Centre of Excellence the area of “Sheet Metal Working” and “Fastener & Fixing Technology” to work on real problems and opportunities from Industry latest by 27 March, 2019 Dear Sir / Madam With Industry 4.0 transformation, the partnering of industry and academic institution is expected to present technological forecast for the industry; carry out a technology and patents landscapesurvey , frame innovation challenges based on problems and opportunities of the industry and to work on market forecast for next decade. The university is consciously working to develop such culture in our affiliated institutions. AKTU and Srijan Sanchar an organization in the field of innovation in line with the MoU entered into are exploring possibility of establishing Centres of Excellences in the area of “Sheet Metal working” and “Fastener & Fixing Technology” in our affiliated / associated colleges so the faculty and students can work on real problems of and opportunities from Industry. Srijan Sanchar is organizing workshop in the above fields in collaboration with the organizers of international exhibitions in Mumbai from 25 – 27 April 2019, whereby, around a hundred companies are expected to participate in each of these exhibitions.. We hereby are inviting Expression of Interest (EoI) from our affiliated / associated colleges who are willing to cohost the proposed CoEs. The institution would extend ONLY a separate place (Lab/ workshop) with basic infrastructure (Furniture, computers, electricity, internet etc..) apart from intellectual workforce though other machines and equipments shall be taken care of by the companies through Srijan Sanchar. Based on receiving EoI, Two Faculty members (one from each selected institutions) shall be visiting to these Exhibition/ Fair in Munbai during 25-27 April 2019. The expense related to this visit shall be borne by AKTU / Srijan Sanchar.
