HOW TO ACCESS YOUR SCHEDULE IN THE VULCAN

INFORMATION PORTAL (VIP)

• Go to the Cal U website (calu.edu).

• At the top of the homepage, click on "Information for..." and select "Current Students."

• Click on the “VIP” icon (middle of page).

• Enter your username and password.

• Select the "Academic Info" tab.

• Under "Registration Tools,” click on "Registration."

• Click on "Register for Classes."

• Select your role (student) and submit (if prompted).

• Select the academic term (semester) and continue.

• Click on the “Schedule and Options” tab to view your schedule.

HOW TO ACCESS BOOK INFORMATION

• Go to the Cal U website (calu.edu).

• At the top of the homepage, click on"Information for..." and select "Current Students."

• Under "Campus Resources," select "Bookstore."

• Use the “Find My Course Materials” sectiontofindthetextbooksyou need via your campus-wide ID (e.g., C12345678) or course info.

• If the book information is not available, you will see a TBD message and you will need to check back for updates.

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR USERNAME AND PASSWORD

FOR THE VULCAN INFORMATION PORTAL AND CAL U EMAIL

• Go to the Cal U website (calu.edu).

• At the top of the homepage, click "Information for..." and select "Current Students."

• Click on the “UTECH” icon (middle of page).

• In the navigation menu, select "Get username and password."

• Enter your campus-wide ID (CWID) number (included in your acceptance letter), your name, and your birth date (mm/dd/yyyy) and submit.

• Copy your Cal U username and passwordexactlyasitappears. The password is case sensitive.

• To change your password, follow the Cal U email account instructions.

• Contact the UTech Services Help Desk for assistance at UTechRequests@calu.edu or call 724-938-5911.

HOW TO ACCESS DEGREEWORKS

(YOUR DEGREE AUDIT)

• Go to the Cal U website (calu.edu).

• Log in to VIP.

• Select the "Academic Info" tab.

• Click on "Degree Works."

HOW TO ACCESS YOUR CAL U EMAIL ACCOUNT

• Go to the Cal U website (calu.edu).

• At the top of the homepage, click "Information for..." and select "Current Students."

• Select the “Email” icon, then enter your Cal U email address (username@calu.edu) and your assigned password.

• To change your password, click the round icon that shows your initials (or your picture, if you have personalized your account).

• Click on the “My Account” option.

• Click on “Security & Privacy” in the navigation menu.

• Select “Password” from the top of the list.

• Enter your old password and yournewpasswordintheboxes provided. (Your new password must contain at least eight characters, with a minimum of one upper case, one lower case, and one number or symbol; you cannotuseanyformofyourfirst and/or last name.)

• Once you’ve entered the information, click the “Submit” button.

Note: You can also access your email account through VIP.
