Diamonique Bio
Queen of the Westis how most refer to this seasoned female producer, songwriter, recording
artist and MC. LA-born but Inland Empire-bred, Diamonique is a multidimensional artist who
was exposed to all things music at an early age and as a result, her sound is varied and her
creativity is endless. She can go from honest West Cost rap with a females touch, smooth lyricswith a singsong flow that doesn't apologize for manipulating dynamic beats; to party tracks,
such as 24/7, which she produced and recorded with her brother and American Idol (season
7) contestant Danny Noriega and was praised by Perez Hiltonamong others, or a soulful diva
vocalist whose singing voice brings depth to hooks and is ripe for any ballad.
Diamonique recorded her first record at the age of 13 and at 15 was signed to a production
deal, recording and releasing her first full-length album Eazzin 4 The Season (Moola Records/
Prodigal Records). Shortly thereafter she was introduced to Fingazz & Flossy of Streetlight
Music through Lunch of Homeless Nation and then released Diamond In Da' Ruff(Pegasus
Music Group, 2004), an 18-track album that featured the singles "Get It On" and "Boom Bap,"
which together gained more than 3,000 nation radio spins, followed by the Countdown and
Queen of the West.
She pulls inspiration from a diverse list of musical influences that includes 2Pac, Lauryn Hill,
Michael Jackson, Sade and the late Teena Marie. Mun2 has said that "Diamonique rolls with
a "who's who" of Chicano rap Mr. Capone-E, Down, Frost, Lil Rob but...leans closer to Missy
Elliott than Mz. Krazie." She has toured internationally, including three times to Japan as part
of the Lowrider Car Show Tourand domestically she has performed along side artists such as
Pitbull, Ciara, Lil Jon, Baby Bash, D-12, T-Weaponz and Xzibit.
A master behind the board, Diamonique began producing her own music in the last few yearsand is now sought after by other artists to track and engineer for them as well. Her productions
include collaborations with famed-producers such as DJ Quik, Jon B., The Co-Stars, The
Avila Brothers & Fingazz of Streetlight Music, and shes looking forward to additional
productions to hit the public this year.
In 2010, Diamonique took her decade-long experience in the music industry and passion for
all things creative to start Diamond Cut Productions an umbrella multi-media company that
includes both music and video production, as well as the record label Diamond Cut Music,
which is dedicated to supporting and exposing the talented artists with whom shes had the
pleasure of working.
This year, Diamoniqe will continue to make original music, planning to release a string of EPs,
and is taking a try in front of and behind the camera. She will make her debut in a feature film
and is producing and directing for The Sould Out Crew, an all-female DJ crew.
