1 IntroductionThis course assumes that you are already familiar with PLC programming and the output youobtain from that.This course will only show you how to utilize that output in the relevant user tool.
If applicable, all the input files for a user tool should be located in the library folder as indicated inthe corresponding topic.

2 Unity XPG Builder
UnitySection column is added to the IIndex table the first time the tool is opened.
The default location of the DFB Template folder: ...\Library\Add-IN\UnityThe default location of the XPG Output folder: [ProjectFolder]\Add-IN\Unity
These locations may be changed in the tool's options.
The workflow for using the Unity XPG Builder is as follows:
1. Select the tag numbers you wish to assign a section file to.2. Select the section file.3. In the Section File Associations ribbon bar, click Associate Unity Section File with Tag
Number(s).4. In the Section File Associations ribbon bar, click Update Database.5. In the Unity XPG ribbon bar, click Build XPG File.

To assign Agent Types to Agent Group sub-sections:
1. Select the Agent Group sub-section.2. Select the Agent File.3. Click the green arrow in the Agent Files section.

5 Galaxy Builder

This location may be changed in the tool's options.
The workflow for using the Galaxy Builder is as follows:
1. In the Tables ribbon bar, select the table you wish to work with.2. Select the tag numbers you wish to associate a Galaxy template with.3. Select the Galaxy template.4. In the Associate template with Instrument ribbon bar, click Associate Galaxy Template
with Tag Number(s).5. In the ArchestrA ribbon bar, click Build Galaxy Import Sheet.
5.1 Updating the Picklist
1. To edit the Picklist, select the corresponding tab in the Template List.2. Click the button in the Picklist ribbon bar.3. In the List Item field, enter 4. In the Description field, enter the description of the List Item.5. In the table field, specify which tables this template should be available for. (separated by a
comma)6. Click OK.

6 P&ID Tag ExtractionWith this tool you can import all the tag numbers found on your AutoCAD P&ID's into the 1Desdatabase.
Example
1. In the menu bar, click User Tools.2. In the P&ID Import Tools ribbon bar, click AutoCAD Tags.3. In the Drawing ribbon bar, click Open PID Folder.4. Browse to ...\Specialized Training 4\PID Drawings\5. Click OK.6. Select DesSoft Training 1.dwg in the drawing list.7. In the Drawing ribbon bar, click Extract Tags.
The fields shown are attributes in the P&ID drawing.
Double check the 'Tablename' field for each component.
8. In the Format Tag Number ribbon bar, enter the desired Tag Rule for the Tag Numbers.9. In the Format Tag Number ribbon bar, click Build Tag Numbers.10.In the Tag Data ribbon bar, click Select All.11.In the Tag Data ribbon bar, click Import.12.Click Yes.
You can also export to Excel to change to the data and perform a normaltable import afterwards.
