Job was to protect coyotes and other furred animals from leg hold traps and lethal poisons
TODAYDefenders of Wildlife are based in Washington DC
Travel to different countries and sites to get a first hand look on the land they protect
Have offices in 8 states and in Canada and Mexico
Protects all native wildlife
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Worked to pass federal legislation to end the aerial shooting of gray wolves in Alaska
Enhanced protections for wildlife in our national forests
Increased habitat protections for nesting shorebirds and securing safeguards for whales
Banned the capture and sale of Mexico’s wild parrots
Protected habitat for endangered Florida panthers
