Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: A Timeline

The Order of the Phoenix attempts to remove Harry from Privet drive but is attacked by Death Eaters. Alastor ‘Mad-Eye’ Moody and Hedwig the owl die in the attack while George Weasley loses an ear. Harry and the rest of the Order make it to the home of Weasley’s safely where they lay low for the time being


Harry turns 17 removing the trace and giving him the ability to do magic outside of school. The day of Harry’s 17th birthday the minster of magic, Rufus Scrimgeour, shows up to read the will of Albus Dumbledore and give Ron, Harry, and Hermione the objects Dumbledore left them. Harry receives the first snitch he ever caught, Hermione get a child’s books called The Tales of Beedle the Bar, and Ron gets a deluminator. With the new found heirlooms Harry, Ron, and Hermione make plans to set out on a journey to find the remaining horcruxes that keep Voldemort tied to life


Bill Weasley, brother of Ron, and Fleur Delcour get married but the wedding is crashed with news that the Minister of Magic is dead and Voldemort's army has taken over. The trio disparates from the wedding and begins hiding knowing that they're being hunted. They decide to hide in the old headquarters of the Order of the Phoenix. While in the old HQ they learn the location of a horcrux, Salazar Slytherin's locket. The trio plan to break into the Ministry of Magic, where the locket is, and steal the horcrux.

workers the trio invade the ministry and narrowly escape with the horcrux. They apparate into a forest and proceed to camp depressingly for the next few weeks. After getting nowhere in their search for horcruxes in those few weeks Ron gets frustrated and leaves despite begging from Hermione. With Ron being gone for a couple days Harry and Hermione take a trip to Godric's Hollow to visit Harry's parent's grave and meet Bathilda Bagshot to clear up some things. While at Bathilda's Harry and Hermione are attacked by Voldemort's snake, Nagini, and are forced to run. In the escape Harry's wand is broken.


Hermione and Harry return to camping in order to stay hidden and while taking turns keeping look out harry sees a Silver doe patronus. Harry follows the patronus and finds the only known thing that can destroy a horcrux, the sword of Godric Gryffindor, in the middle of a frozen lake. Harry blasts a hole in the lake with Hermione's wand and jumps in after the sword, almost drowning. Ron then appears out of nowhere and saves Harry, getting the sword. The two then destroy the locket horcrux.


After welcoming back Ron to the group and learning that Voldemort’s name has been tabooed (meaning that whenever it is said your location is betrayed) Hermione discovers a symbol in the book Dumbledore left her and Harry remembers seeing the same symbol worn by Xenophilius Lovegood at Bill and Fleur's wedding. The trio sets out the find him and ask him about the symbol, believing it to be something highly important. After finding Xenophilius Lovegood the trio learns of the Deathly Hallows and hears the tale of the 3 brothers and along with the tale learn of the Wand, the Stone, and the Cloak.


Leaving the trio alone for a few moments Xenophilius Lovegood alerts the death eaters of Harry's location and the trio is attacked while still at the house. The trio yet again escape and resumes hiding in the woods. With the new information of the Deathly Hallows Harry believes Dumbledore wanted him to find all three of the Hallows.


While telling Ron and Hermione of his new theory Harry uses Voldemort's name, which summons snatchers to their location. Hermione uses a stinging charm to make Harry's face unrecognizable to the snatchers. The snatchers suspect they have the infamous Harry Potter and take him along with several other prisoners to the Malfoy Manor where Voldemort and most of the death eaters are known to be staying. Once there the others are disregarded to the dungeons and the trio is taken straight to the death eaters where Draco Malfoy is asked to identify them but he does nothing short of refuse.


Bellatrix then notices that they have the sword of Gryffindor and loses whatever sanity she had because the sword is suppose to be in her Gringotts bank vault but she doesn't know the sword in her vault is a fake. Bellatrix separates the trio and takes to torturing Hermione to get information on how they got the sword while Ron and Harry are in the dungeon. In the dungeon they discover Luna, Griphook the goblin, and Ollivander and with their help along with the help of Dobby the free elf they save Hermione and apparate to shell cottage, the home of Bill and Fleur Weasley.


In their escape however there is a struggle and by the time they reach shell cottage Dobby is dead. At Shell Cottage Harry digs Dobby a grave and lays him to rest.


Harry speaks with Ollivander about the elder wand from the Deathly Hallows, being that he is a wand maker Harry thinks he’ll know something. Not long after Harry has a vision of Voldemort getting the wand and realizes it’s too late. The trio and the escaped prisoners from the Malfoy manor lay low at Shell Cottage for weeks. While there Harry, Ron, and Hermione come up with a plan to break into Gringotts with the suspion that yet another horcrux is in Bellatrix's vault. The help of Griphook the goblin they start planning the almost impossible break in to Gringotts.


With polyjuice potion Hermione is transformed to Bellatrix in order to get into her vault. They make it into the bank but within moment are suspected by the other goblins. Harry is forced to use the imperius curse to successfully get into the vault. Once inside the vault they learn that most things are cursed and they need to work fast to find the horcrux. The goblins somehow find out about the break in and start attacking the vault and once they find the horcrux, the cup of Hufflepufff, the trio hijack the dragon protecting the vaults and ride it out of Gringotts.


With the escape the trio quickly comes up with the location of the next horcrux. They apparate into Hogsmead setting off alarms but are saved by a bar tender that reveals himself to be Dumbledore's brother, Aberforth. Aberforth helps the trio sneak into Hogwarts using a secret passage way. The passage leads into the Room of Requirement where they meet a bunch of students seeking refuge and who are ready to help them. While in the Room of Requirement Harry realizes what the next horcrux is, the diadem of Rowena Ravenclaw.


With Luna's help Harry sneaks into the Ravenclaw common room to get a good look at the diadem from the statue of Rowena Ravenclaw that is in place there. While in the common room they are spotted by a death eater who signals Voldemort about their location. McGonagall finds Harry and Luna and springs into action to protect the students of Hogwarts from the inevitable battle that will ensue. Within minutes Voldemort arrives at Hogwarts with an army of death eaters and Harry is given until midnight to give himself up or a war will break out.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: A Timeline Harry finds Ron and Hermione and they inform him they’ve destroy the

horcrux they got from Gringotts. Harry finds out the location of the diadem and with Ron and Hermione sets off to the Room of Requirement where it is hidden. In the Room of Requirement they get the diadem but are stopped by Draco, Crabbe, and Goyle. Crabbe sets the room on fire

with a curse and as a result he dies but the trio, Draco, and Goyle make it out. The diadem is destroyed in the fire and the trio set out to help the

others in battle.


As the trio starts to fight they run into Fred and Percy Weasley and soon after an explosion takes place near them and Fred is killed. After making sure Fred's body is safe the trio is forced to find the last known horcrux, Voldemort's snake Nagini. Harry has a vision and learns that Voldemort and Nagini are hiding in the Shrieking Shack along with Snape. Harry, Ron, and Hermione go to the Shrieking Shack only to witness the murder of Snape.

Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallows: A Timeline Once Voldemort leaves Harry, Ron, and Hermione rush to Snape's

aid but he can only manage to give them a memory right before he dies. Harry is able to sneak into the headmaster's office and uses the pensieve to look at the memory Snape left him. Through the memory Harry learns that he is a horcrux and he realizes he must die in order for Voldemort to become mortal again. Harry leaves to go find Voldemort but before he does Harry tells Neville to kill Nagini knowing that if the snake doesn't die everything will be in vain.


Harry goes into the forbidden forest and faces Voldemort. As expected Voldemort kills Harry with a Killing curse and Harry is sent into a strange in between where Dumbledore is waiting to talk with him. Dumbledore explain why Voldemort had to kill Harry himself and answers some of Harry's questions. After their conversation Harry is sent back to reality where he is forced to play dead so Voldemort can think he has won.


Voldemort takes Harry's body back to the castle to show off his so called victory and is confronted by the army of Hogwarts. In a complete rage over Harry's 'death' Neville attacks Voldemort and kills Nagini the snake with the sword of Gryffindor. Chaos suddenly breaks loose and Giants along with various other creatures appear and start a battle of their own causing everyone to flee into the Hogwarts castle.


In the chaos Harry uses his invisibility cloak to escape into the crowd only to reveal himself minutes later and begin dueling

Voldemort. Voldemort throws a killing curse at Harry but Harry throws a curse of his own at Voldemort which

ultimately kills him.


In the end Harry’s victory sets everything right in the Wizarding world and all is well.
