Following consultations in 2012, 2013, 2015 and most recently in July 2017, the Alford Neighbourhood Plan has reached its final draft stage. Alford Town Council invite you to have a final opportunity to have your say!
The comments of all consultees will be taken into account and the Plan adjusted accordingly, before it is submitted to the National Planning Inspectorate for approval. Once approved, the final hurdle before adoption will be a town
referendum. If adopted, the Plan, alongside ELDC’s Local Plan, will determine how the town should develop in the next 15 years.
It is important that as many townsfolk and other stakeholders as possible have the chance to voice their opinion on the final draft.
Make sure your view is represented.
The Regulation 14 consultation will run from 1st January until 11th February 2018. In that period the Neighbourhood Plan and its accompanying documents will be available for your perusal, together with a feedback form for your comments, online at

ALFORD NEIGHBOURHOOD PLAN-REGULATION 14 CONSULTATIONAlford Town Council's steering group has developed aNeighbourhood Plan in compliance with the requirementsof the National Planning Policy Framework, which wasproduced by the Department for Communities and LocalGovernment. This stage of the development of the
Neighbourhood Plan is called Regulation 14 Consultation andprecedes a government lnspector deciding whether the plan is satisfactory i.e. compliantwith statutory requirements. Once the lnspector is satisfied with the plan it will beoffered to the community for its decision by voting in a referendum.The Regulation 14 consultation will run from 15th January until 25th February. ln thatperiod the Neighbourhood Plan and its accompanying documents are available for yourperusal .
