to score more goals. The boys are
to be congratulated on a great
match but unfortunately went
down four-nil. It was a
significant improvement on last
years match.
Footsteps Dance Program
and Disco
Next week our students will be
attending our annual Footsteps
dance program as part of our
PDHPE programs. The sessions
will be conducted between 9-
11am each morning. I am sure
that the students will really enjoy
the opportunity to learn some
new dances that they will be able
to show off at the Footsteps
Disco which is to be held next
Thursday, 22nd June
between 5.30pm and 7.00pm
in our school hall
Kind Regards,
Tanya Connor
CWA Project Display
There have been some wonderful
projects handed in for the CWA
projects on Nepal. The ladies from
the CWA have been in to judge the
entries during the week and set up
a display in the hall. They will
award the prize winners at a special
assembly this Thursday at 9.15am.
3/4M students will be showcasing a
video project they have been
working on at the assembly.
A bowl will be passed around for
donations to help ‘Coins for
Friendship’ raise money for
projects such as:
● Helping earthquake victims
around the world.
Hand pumps to provide water in
rural communities in the South
Pacific.
● Providing “Save Eye Sight”
campaigns for the Royal
Commonwealth Institute for the
Blind.
Parents are welcome to attend.
Boys Football (Soccer)
Last Friday, the boys soccer team
had a pleasant day in Bathurst. We
were up against a very experienced
team from Eglinton. We started off
enthusiastically, working hard to
defend a well drilled team. Eglinton
scored first but our boys ensured
that the opposition found it difficult

Debating
Our Red debating teams will be
travelling to Raglan Public
School next Wednesday to
participate in the next round of
the debating competition. They
have been working hard to
prepare their arguments. We
wish them the best of luck for
their debate.
Band Day
Last Wednesday members of the
school band and the Little Big
Band travelled to Blayney High
School to participate in the
Heritage Country Schools band
day. It was wonderful to see over
50 students in attendance. The
students worked hard to learn to
new pieces of music – Tequila
and Funkytown. Mr Browett,
Principal of Blayney High
arranged these pieces especially
for the band and I was truly
amazed at how quickly the
students were able to learn to
play them.
