Cross media convergence and synergy are vital processes in the successful marketing of

media products to audiences.

Cross media convergence Refers to companies that come together vertically or horizontally

Synergy Working together to achieve an object that couldnt be achieved independently. (Crossmedia convergence can help with synergy if companies are wise enough to take advantage of the links

they possess. (MacDonalds and Disney when a film is released, they release toys in happy

meals for children in MacDonalds which influences them to watch the film)

General understanding of question, introduce the case studies (context of case studies), embedunderstand when introducing case studies, profits of least year how it influences cross media

convergence.

Cross-media convergence Music can be linked to film (mentioning of Skyfall) as Adele is an artist

who sung the theme and is also signed to XL.

With the rise/proliferation of hardware and technology, piracy continues to

be a problem in the film industry. Piracy is linked to the EXCHANGE

process.

Who does it harm?

How does it harm them?

What can be done? (What have films done about it)? Was thissuccessful/unsuccessful?

On Oct 3, part of Adele's song was leaked..... whether genuine leak or

marketing teaser, James Bond fans had their first taste of the blockbusters

tune as sung by British golden girl Adele.

Still good publicity!!!!!!!! (as film didnt come out until oct 26)
