CRICKET AUSTRALIA HIGH PERFORMANCE COACHING PROGRAM
Program Overview
The Cricket Australia (CA) High Performance Coaching Program is registered with the Australian Sports Commission as part of the National Coach Accreditation Scheme (NCAS) and is the centrepiece of Australia’s flagship coach development program. The program is facilitated over a 12 month period including pre-residential tasks, a one week residential course and post residential tasks including a coaching diary, evidence of HP coaching, an application & interview for a HP position, development of an individual coach development plan and a book review. In 2017 two specialist certificates have been built into the program as expected industry based qualifications.
Candidate Eligibility & Selection Criteria
Successful Applicants are likely to be active coaches that have completed the CA Representative (Level Two) Program or its equivalent who;
have significant coaching experience; work within High Performance and Talent across the Australian Cricket Pathway; coach within state or territory associations; work with athletes competing at Senior level or youth state level (male/female); Grade/Premier Cricket Coaches ACA Members transitioning from playing to coaching

Assessment
The assessment of candidates is thorough and ensures that all successful candidates meet a minimum standard. The assessment is a combination of attendance, participation and providing evidence of competence. An appropriate assessor will be allocated to manage your assessment requirements.
Task 1 Pre-residential tasks (incl. AMS Coach Development Tools) Task 2 Attendance and participation in all sessions and in-course assessment Task 3 1. Coaching Diary, 2. Evidence of High Performance Coaching, 3. Interview Assessment, 4. Individual Coach Development Plan, 5. Book Review (utilising framework provided)
Certification
On being deemed competent, candidates will have met the minimum standard and be awarded a CA High Performance Coaching Certificate, a CA Coach accreditation card and you will become a Cricket Coaches Australia member. The accreditation is valid for two years and can be renewed on proof of being active and payment of the Cricket Coaches Australia fee. In addition to CA coach accreditation, candidates who complete the relevant assessment modules will also receive industry based qualifications. These specialist certificates in Coaching Practice and Teaching & Learning will be integrated with course curriculum content.
Program Fee
$6000 AUD (GST Inclusive) to be paid in full. Candidates may be eligible for a rebate from Cricket Australia or their State or Territory based on coaching position.
Cricket Australia invites applications from coaches that would like to be considered for inclusion in the 2017 Cricket Australia High Performance (Level 3) Coaching Program.

As well as the successful completion of the course workbook, each candidate will be assessed in their own practical environment. Candidates will be required to complete a comprehensive coaching workbook, a variety of pre and post-course tasks, as well as attend a one week intensive residential program. Cricket Australia approved coach development staff will provide a learning environment to encourage coaches to develop their own skills and expertise to help them create better players.
