Referring to the SEC Notice of 12 March 2020, which mandates all publicly listed companies to: (1) apprise the investing public of the risks and impact of COVID-19 on their business operations; and, (2) indicate all measures to mitigate the risks of COVID-19 that it will undertake or has undertaken, we wish to inform the investing public of the following: Risks and Impact of COVID-19 on Globe’s Business Operations Globe has focused most of its efforts in addressing critical risks of workforce health and safety, and supply chain disruption by protecting the safety and health of our employees and partners, while ensuring minimal disruption to our operations given that, now more than ever, connectivity is vital to the country. With the community quarantine over Metro Manila (and subsequently over several cities and provinces outside Metro Manila) only announced on 12 March 2020 and taking effect only on 15 March 2020, impact to Globe’s overall business and network rollout will have to be assessed further. Magnitude of the impact will be highly dependent on the duration of the community quarantine as well as the respective implementing guidelines of the different LGUs, which are still currently being drafted. Measures Undertaken/to be Undertaken to Mitigate the Risks of COVID-19 Precautionary measures were taken beginning 24 January 2020 to ensure a COVID-19-free workplace for all Globe offices nationwide through the following initiatives:
Thermal scanning at all entry points in various Globe Offices, nationwide; Deployment of hand sanitizers throughout common areas, in Globe premises; Adjusted our policies to restrict travel to high risk countries; Mandatory visitor disclosure and screening and; Continuing awareness drives to keep all Globe employees well informed.
Immediately after the Department of Health’s (DOH) announcement of Alert Level Code Red Sublevel 1 on 07 March 2020, tighter policies and plans were implemented to further protect our people and our business:
Conducted sanitation of all floors in our corporate offices; Discontinued acceptance of guests in offices and technical sites, nationwide; Shifted to virtual and online meetings; and, Partnered with major health providers to screen, admit and provide care for Globe employees who
are to exhibit flu-like symptoms while inside office premises. With regards to our supply chain, we are in constant conversations with our vendors and suppliers to ensure necessary options are available to the company to address any potential supply gaps. For our Home Broadband service, the company ensures the overall safety and well-being of its customers through the implementation of stringent health check protocols for installers and repairmen. This is also to safeguard customers who need quality connectivity at home amidst government and private sector policies that enforce work from home and class suspensions to prevent the further spread of the disease. Health and safety measures undertaken by all Globe at Home installers and repairmen begin before deployment, consisting of the following:
They must pass a series of health checks such as a body temperature of less than 37.8°C, no signs of cough or cold, and no difficulty in breathing or pain in the throat and chest area.
Installers must also disclose if they have gotten in touch with anyone who has displayed any of the aforementioned symptoms, or has come from a country affected with COVID-19.
Before leaving for deployment, installers must also pass hand wash, alcohol and water stations to stay clean and hydrated.
On 08 March 2020, with customers and the nation foremost in mind, Globe gave free access to the official websites of DOH and the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) to keep

the public abreast of the latest COVID-19 advisories. This was expanded by 13 March 2020, as Globe offered free and unlimited Internet connection via its GoWiFi services at select hospitals in Metro Manila until 15 April 2020. This is to help healthcare frontliners--doctors, nurses, medical personnel -- and patients and their loved ones to remain connected and be informed in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic. This consisted of 17 hospitals located in Manila, Makati, Taguig, Pasig, San Juan and Quezon City. Credit actions were likewise suspended on 15 March 2020 for all postpaid customers, including enterprise customers nationwide, for a period of 30 days from due date. Furthermore, Globe will be implementing a full work from home operations with critical skeletal force in place beginning 16 March 2020. Globe stores operations will be suspended for seven days as well. Rest assured that Globe is doing its best in stopping the spread of the virus in our workplaces and communities. As we help build a nation that is admired all over the world, it is also our purpose to protect our fellow Filipinos and the nation.
