Convergence ofbrand sectors
•Let me explain - Convergence of brand sectors
•Not so long ago everything was so simple – say a sports company only other competitors was another
sports company
•but now we live in an age that a sport competitor might well be a tech or insurance company.
• Kevin Plank –CEO of Under Armour – quote
•I’ll be damned if I’m going to cede anything to Silicon Valley or any other technology company,
because I believe we are a technology company.
•Big Companies are adopting out of survival or smaller more agile have more VC backing
•BRANDS NEED TO THINK ANYTHING IS POSSIBLE AND GUESS WHAT >>>IT MIGHT NOT BE IN THEIR USUAL COMFORT ZONES OR SECTORS an example M&S ARE NOW DOING BANKING CALLED MS BANK
‘In the relentless evolution of technology and markets, many industries are in the midst of, major reconfigurations of their fundamental architectures and
the way companies capture value’
•IMAGINE THAT >> Who would have imagined convergency in brands for instance a:• Cosmetic brand would becoming a health
insurance company OR • Or a gaming software company becoming part of
the UK health service • OR Uber Cabs – as a retail delivery company--- (
UberRush, a full-scale delivery service that lets restaurants and shops send products on-demand
L’Oréal Connected UV Skin Patch Sensors
The patch itself is as thin as a fake tattoo, and last up to 5 days, all the while detecting and tracking how much UV you’re getting on your skin, and transmitting that to the app to visualise the data in real-time to showcase exactly how much the sun is effecting you.
Cosmetic + Health Insurance

Tech gaming + Health Gov
The little, round robot is on display at the global consumer electronics and technology tradeshow CES 2016, in Las Vegas.
Current game applications include hide and seek, a colour-based bingo and 'touch-blink-spin'.Reward based gamifictaion – points, etc.
Pantone + Urban Architectures
To brighten up the gloomy streets of Seoul, Korea during the rainy monsoon season, a team of designers and art directors teamed up with PANTONE to launch a wonderful street art project titled ‘Project Monsoon’.
Using hydrochromic paint—which is invisible until it gets wet—the team painted the streets with delightful, brightly colored murals that are inspired by the South Korean culture that emphasizes “the importance of the flow of the river”
