UPS with Integrated Transformer UPS with Inbuilt Isolation Transformer
Full Galvonic Isolation on Online Mode & Bypass Mode.
The isolation transformer if installed at input or output of the UPS, provides galvanic
isolation between upstream and downstream electrical system. This is described in the
below attached document from IEEE.
EMI Disturbances :
Neutral on by pass line directly and permanently grid to UPS output & No Galvonic
Isolation.
single isolation transformer connected at UPS output can achieve the same even with
dual input source (separate input & bypass source).
Placing isolation transformer in bypass along with inverter transformer will increase capital
expenses, running cost (energy loss) as well as space requirement
Transformer heat dissipation exhausted sperately, Since it is Integrated Transformer Transformer Heat dissipation & decrese in service life of the internal Component
Minimize the common mode noise between neutral and ground Common Mode Nosie will be high compared to Integrated type
Minimize the voltage difference between neutral and ground conductor High compare to Integrated type
Neutral distribution is not required from the source till transformer Neutral dsitribution required upto transformer
Isolation transformer will act as an impendence and limit the fault current on bypass &
Interver path Fault current will not limited in Bypass Path
