NUMBERS OF VSYSTEM
Business: calendering, hydroforming of sheet metal and TIG weldingTurnover: 3.400.000 €Dipendenti: 12
34
V System is specialized in building of exhaust systems made by special alloys like Ni and Ti, obtained by plasticdeformation and welding.
35
CORE BUSINESS
35
V System’s core business is the calendering, hydroforming of sheet metal and TIG welding ofmotorsport components made of special alloys of Ni and Ti.The type of products provides are:
• Exhaust systems for use in SP• Development project HYD car exhausts• Tail pipe titanium• Welding subgroup turbine• Components for SP
37
TECHNOLOGY: TUBES PRODUCTION AND FOLDING
37
The company used machines necessary for the production by little and medium dimension tubescalendering.Vsystem is specialized in tube bending in thin wall (range 0,7 – 1,2 mm) realized in Ni and Ti alloys, made by a 9 axes electrical bender. The machine allows, if equipped with appropriate tools for internaldevelopment, the realization of complex parts with a ratio of mean radius / diameter equal to 1: 1 andno straight parts between curves. The maximum diameter bendable amounts to 80mm.
38
TECHNOLOGY: HYDROFORMING
38
Hydroforming is a technology able to realize thetube cold plastic deformation exploiting the forcegenerated by water under pressure. In this way it isthus able to obtain components that have localizedvariations in section along the whole axialdevelopment of the tube. Hydroforming is atechnological solution useful to develop pipingcomplex geometry that must meet dimensionalrequirements and possibly configurations fluid verystringent.
The plant hydroforming installed has the followingfeatures: injection pressure of the water up to 3000bar and maximum closing force molds equal to1000 ton.
39
TECHNOLOGY: TIG WELDING
39
The staff is qualified by TIG welding of alloys ofnickel and titanium certificate, with decades ofexperience with this technology in the welding ofany type of material.
V System is able to perform manual and automatedwelding of stainless steels and non‐aluminum alloysand magnesium alloys, titanium alloys and nickel.
40
DEVELOPMENT OF WELDING MASKS
40
V System is a partner complete and reliable for itscustomers, and this makes it a good partner fromthe initial design of the components and equipmentnecessary to the realization of the construction.
V System is an expert in the design andmanufacture of equipment and masks necessary forthe assembly of components and can providesupport for the execution of macro andmicrographic analysis of welded joints.
41
DIMENSIONAL CONTROL
41
In order to maintain the highest quality andprecision of our manufactured products, thecompany has a metrologic room air conditioning, where is installed a new three‐dimensional opticalscanning system. This tool, which operates with thetechnology of the interference fringes, allows torealize both the dimensional testing and reverseengineering of components for the obtaining of themathematical models of reference.
