VESPERS, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 4PM – ARBOR GREAT ROOM: The Interfaith Chapel Committee invites the entire Collington community to a Vesper service in the Great Room of the Arbor. Bring your friends and relatives for our third annual service of prayer, hymns and scripture readings. It's the season! HANUKKAH CANDLE LIGHTING BEGINS, SATURDAY, DECEMBER 24, 5:30PM – DINING ROOM COURT YARD: Hanukkah begins the evening of Saturday December 24 and ends the evening of Saturday, December 31. We will light candles every evening at 5:30PM in the Dining Room Court Yard EXCEPT on Sunday, December 25 when the Dining Room is closed. On December 25 we will celebrate in the Ivy Bar. All seating will be on a first come, first served basis, but everyone is invited to gather around when we light the candles. PLEASE bring some wine and food to share on December 25(when we will be in the Ivy Bar). Several kinds of small models (airplanes, helicopters, quadricopters, etc.) will be available to borrow, and an instructor will be available to help you, so you can see if you might enjoy this hobby without spending any money to try it. COLLINGTON RESIDENTS: You are so very generous!! On December 14 a group of folks gave out the Employee Appreciation Fund checks to our staff. We received hugs and heartfelt thanks. I wish all of you could have been there to see the appreciative the staff people are. Thank you for caring for those who care for us!! COUNTRY STORE NEWS: So a mouse tells a cat and a cat leaves messages everywhere and finally a dog picks up the message and tells a person. So I'm spreading the word for all the cats (4 legs only) at Collington -The Country Store has cat food! And for our two legged customers there's a limited supply of Raspberry Sorbet. Reminder - The Country Store will be open regular hours on Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve. A MESSAGE FROM THE COLLINGTON SINGERS: Love to Sing? The Collington Singers are starting a new season to prepare for the spring concert. Collington resident, Marilyn Haskel, the new director, will be leading rehearsals every Monday at 4PM beginning January 9th in the auditorium.
