Germany is the country which will be most active in terms of M&A activity, followed by the Benelux, Nordics, UK & Ireland
In every local market a few key players are quickly outgrowing the rest, and have international ambitions
Companies actively pursue ‘smart’ acquisitions to realize growth and to develop new competencies. Building companies to last is the mantra and an exit is not the primary objective unless the business opportunity requires so. The Continental European model clearly differs from the ‘blockbuster’ venture capital model renowned for Silicon Valley
Based on our network, there are many high quality potential acquisition targets, varying in size and target market
Timing is good to pursue an acquisition, all though some will have inflated expectations regarding value
