th(RTC) on February 23 and February 24 2018.
Natural resource constraints and global environmental risks are challenging the traditional linear economy – where companies “take, make and dispose”. Companies will have to adjust to a new circular economy to contribute in global sustainability – one in which resources are kept in use for as long as possible, and products and materials are recovered and regenerated at the end of their service life.
The AIMS Centre for Sustainability of AIMS Institutes encourages a greater appreciation of global sustainability with a particular focus on manufacturing and service industry, agriculture sector, corporate houses, government, academic institutions, researchers and NGO. The ACS views global sustainability as an integrated concept, rather than as separate environmental, economic, and social as each of these elements is inseparable from the each other. The main aim in organizing the International Round Table is to motivate all stakeholders to explore contributions, opportunities, best practices, new research and share experiences for potential contribution under the broader topic of circular economy to achieve Global Sustainability.
ACS plans to have wide ranging interactive interdisciplinary discussions by domain experts and research paper presentations. RTC will generate a better understanding, appreciation of the role of circular economy in achieving global sustainability and make recommendations towards achievement of the goal of global sustainability to make world a better place to live. The outcomes of the RTC will be published in a book having ISBN.
