The Certification Industry Against Counterfeiting was formed in March 2008 to combat the growing threat of products bearing counterfeit certification marks
11 of the world’s largest certification agencies are currently participating in CIAC
CIAC has formed a partnership with INTERPOL to combat these illegal marks under Operation Overshock
INTERPOL will coordinate and facilitate international enforcement initiatives and educational programs targeting transnational organized IP Crime groups
