Dear Families,

After 24 years in the field of recreation, 2020 is turning out to be the one that is the hardest for the Township, our

employees and myself to face; the year that has presented us with the most difficult decisions, and the one that will

change the way we recreate for years to come. Never in my career, could I have imagined that bringing people

together, providing families experiences, seniors livelihood, and kids opportunities to experience new things would be

halted by a worldwide health crisis. Our efforts have always culminated with a busy, action-packed, whirlwind of innova-

tive in-person events, engaging activities and exhilarating holiday happenings that we love to enjoy with all of YOU.

Unfortunately, this year is continuing to be different than all the rest.

We welcome you back at a physical distance, with face masks and hand sanitizer, but large events remain on a

temporary hiatus. Organized recreation may look a little “different,” but we remain active in the community, committed

to creating opportunities for your family to enjoy as soon as we are safely able to do so! Excitedly, we will embark on new

adventures in recreation to bring you low-cost, high-quality, programs as soon as “togetherness” is a thing once more.

Visit us online at parks.chesterfieldtwp.org for program offerings as we roll-out, re-establish favorites and redesign

in ways that safely navigate through an ever-changing world. Follow us on our Facebook pages for the most up-to-date

information as new programs are being instituted often. For now, any changes to programming are based on safety and

the ability to adhere to executive orders, physical distance guidelines, and CDC recommendations, while maintaining the

experience you have come to love from Chesterfield Township Leisure Services. Here’s to good health, people, peace,

parks and programs!
