What is a chameleon?
A chameleon is a changing colour reptile. They have special cells that can make it change colour. This is called camouflage.
• There is over one-hundred and fifty species. Some of them can only change from brown to green but others can turn…pink, yellow, turquoise, purple, orange & red!
Camouflage
• Chameleons camouflage for many reasons. To attract a mate, to defend their territory or to get attention.
What do they eat?
• Well chameleons eat any type of insect. Such as pray mantis, cockroaches, wasps, worms, flies, slugs and crickets.
Where do they live?
• Well they live in Africa, the middle east, India, sri lanka, and parts of Europe. Almost half of the worlds species live in Madagascar.
