New Members (June)
Your Chamber team is already working in preparation for our 2021 Benton Area Chamber Community Profile and Directory. The staff is in the process of selling ads for the publication, and the Directory Committee will be beginning soon to design an outstanding book for our members and the community.
Our Community Profile and Directory is a well-viewed publication in this area. Not only is it available in all our member offices, but It is also strategically placed in many offices and public buildings throughout the community. It is used • as a recruiting tool for many businesses • as the “yellow pages” in many homes when the homeowner is needing some type of service • as the calendar of events for activities and events in our area • as the information guide about city and county government, organizations, and shopping and dining opportunities.
With the many advantages to advertising in the 2021 Directory, don’t get left out!! Take advantage of this opportunity to spread the word about your business in 2021. Remember, the ad will run for 1 year and will be seen throughout the community by many potential customers.
You will be receiving emails and/or phone calls from the Chamber staff about this opportunity. Put it in your marketing and advertising budget; we think you will be surprised how your business name will be spread throughout our area.
Call today to set up up an appointment - 501-860-7002.

From Your ChairmanWow, the month of June has flown by, and here we are starting July. As we are trying to return to normal, there have been a few bumps in the road. As we entered Phase 2 of reopening, there has been an increase in COVID-19 cases. The question everyone is asking is this because of loosening up or more and better testing? The answer is probably that it is a combination of both
The Chamber moved ahead and planned our first event since the pandemic struck. The annual Saline County Business Expo/ Hook, Line and Chicken event was set for Friday, July 10 from 10 am to 4 pm at the Benton Event Center. Carefully planning to ensure everyone’s safety was paramount in the planning. However, at this point, the decision has been made to postpone the event to early fall. The purpose of the event is to give our members and friends a chance to highlight their businesses, so we want to ensure the safety of our participants and guests. After consultation with board members, vendors, and staff, there was the feeling that maybe this might not be possible because of the present situation with COVID-19. Always wanting to serve our members in the best way possible, it seemed post-poning the event was the better option. We certainly apologize for any inconvenience this might cause, and we promise you that we will continue to work to make our 2020 Saline County Business Expo/Hook, Line and Chicken an excellent event.
At the Chamber, we continue to work to help our area business members stay in the loop about the things going on that affect us all. The staff continues to work on sending vital emails, meeting with business leaders to see what help they may need, planning future events, doing ribbon cuttings for new members, and conducting business as much as possible. We appreciate the support of our members; without you, there would be no Chamber. Happy Independence Day, and I hope you stay safe.
