Pleasing your senses.Wine gives La Rioja its name; it forms the basis
of our wealth and is an essential part of our cultu-
re. The thousand-year old winemaking tradition,
passed down from generation to generation, is
kept alive and with the application of new te-
chnology to the traditional vinification methods,
wine from the Rioja appellation can be increasin-
gly more widely appreciated.
We are pleased to present a special selection of
these wines from some of the best Rioja cellars
– some of them over a hundred years’ old, some
modern, others small family concerns – all of
them offering excellent products which will allow
you to taste some of the world’s most attractive
wines.
The Rioja “Designation of Origin” is the oldest in
Spain (it has been guaranteeing the quality of its
wines since 1926), and has the added “Qualified”
character (similar to a “Cru Classé”), bestowing
upon wines from Rioja the highest official seal
of excellence.
The most widely grown grape is the Tempranillo.
Considered the jewel among Spanish wines, it is
indigenous to the Rioja region and is the most
characteristic variety of the appellation, the cor-
nerstone of the identity of its red wines and one
of the world’s great noble grapes. It occupies over
75% of the cultivated area and enologically it is
very versatile, capable of producing wines which
can be aged for long periods, with a good balan-
ce of alcoholic strength, color and acidity and a
very open, supple, fruity taste, which becomes
velvety smooth and mellow as it ages.

Bodegas Fuenmayor
Bodegas Fuenmayor was born out of an initiative of a group of businessmen linked to the Rioja wine
sector. It is located in the heart of La Rioja in Fuenmayor and its grapes come from the town that bears
its name and where wine is an undisputable part of the culture and knowledge of its people. Bodegas
Fuenmayor takes the utmost care, combining design with tradition, in which the passion for our wine
is to be found in every corner. Our winery is a reflection of that passion. A very special place for us
because it is steeped in all the efforts and enthusiasm of a large project that is also our dream. At Bo-
degas Fuenmayor, tradition and new technologies come together to improve our maturation process.
We seek to achieve a result reflecting our exceptional care down to the last detail.
