Masterclass MenuMenu of around 14 ‘Masterclasses’.Masterclasses timetabled for 2 periods per week.S3 pupils will select one Masterclass for Jun/Dec and
another for Jan/Jun.Many will cover ‘Technology’ or ‘Expressive Arts’.Pupils missing either of these from main choice will
be directed to an appropriate Masterclass to complete their Broad General Education.
Masterclasses give opportunity for Interdisciplinary Learning and some are accredited.
Pupils will select from the Masterclass Menu in May, once their main subject choice has been confirmed.
S3 Curriculum - AIMS

Learning4. Firm foundation for the Senior Phase
Fourth level work as part of BGE – but also begin looking at work for Nat 4 and Nat 5 courses in S4.
There will be a reduction in subjects studied in S4 from the 8 in S3, possible to 7, possibly to 6.
Pupils will be discouraged from picking ‘fresh’ subjects for S4.
