Welcome to the first Byte Exchange, may we have many more – we started this year with the vision of business people networking, learning and of course celebrating our fantastic youth tourism sector.

Byte Exchange combines a half day conference with two half days of meetings schedules and an all inclusive evening function sponsored by Tourism Noosa. This year’s conference will see four sessions custom-designed for small to large tourism businesses to take home idea’s we hope will positively impact their business success.

We have a social media expert in Gina Lednyak who will be talking about ‘The Future of Social’. Next up we have some familiar faces offering an industry round-up regarding Visa’s, Accommodation and Tours/Activities. We are privileged in that our keynote speaker this year is one of the world’s best economic forecasters Clifford Bennett from CliffordBennett.com.au CliffordBennett.com.au Clifford will present on “Sharing and the Economy” while giving us an overview of how global markets are set to trend in the coming years. To finish we will be hearing from one of Australia’s most successful emerging tour operators: Drop Bear Adventures. Hana and Mark talk to us about small business success and their unique marketing mix.

The Byte Exchange’s meeting schedules will start shortly after the conference lunch, welcoming just under 100 delegates from all over Australia and New Zealand for 26 meetings over two half days.

We are only able to provide this platform for commentary and conversation in our sector because of the generous support of our sponsors. Our sincere thanks go to Website Travel, WWOOF, Gold Coast Tourism, THE WORD, Taxback, AIFS, Relocations 2 Go & Bartercard.

On behalf of Byte Custom Media, please accept our thanks for coming along. We hope you have an enjoyable and rewarding couple of days and nights.

COMPANYDropbear Adventures

TITLEOwners

WEBSITEwww.dropbearadventures.com.au

Hana met Mark and fell in love on K’gari aka Fraser Island back in 2011. Mark was a one man band running his very little Drop Bear Adventures tour company when Hana came along. Together they have built their baby business into what it is today. With unconditional passion and respect for this beautiful island and a crazy mad work ethic they have created their easy going, fun loving and highly popular 3 day tours. They cater for the more mature youth traveller as well as families.

Having lived on the island now for four years in their little eco house, coupled with Mark’s long family and personal history with the island; these guys are truly owner-operators and love nothing more than being on the ground with their guests and sharing an amazing 4WD adventure with them. These days the eccentric Drop Bear’s team help Hana and Mark deliver a great product and each shares their passion for the island and sharing it with travellers from all over the world.
