The first line of defense in our immune systems is the skin and mucous membranes . The secretions it creates are super effectives . The mucous membranes is in the : digestive, respiratory, urinary, and reproductive tracts. Besides serving as a physical barriers, these epithelial membranes produce a variety of protective chemicals. Creates sweat, saliva, sticky mucus.
