Core Units for both Economics & Business
Unit 1:
Small Business - Exam in Year 11 which equals 25% of overall grade
Unit 2:
Controlled Assessment (Coursework) - Complete at start of Year 11 and equals 25% of the overall grade

Economics
•Unit 5: Introduction to Economic Understanding
•Exam in Year 11 which equals 50% of the overall grade.
GCSE in Business Studies
• You will learn more about how small businesses are developed and discover how businesses promote themselves and keep their customers happy.
• You will learn how businesses manage both their finances and the people who work for them.
GCSE Economics
• You will also learn more about how small businesses are developed and discover how businesses promote themselves and keep their customers happy.
• However you will then learn how to think like an economist; look at risk and uncertainty; is growth good and is the world fair?
