“I feel as though this trip has impacted me in so many ways, and for this, I will forever keep the memories made close
to my heart. Before flying out to Brazil, I had no idea what to expect. I knew that Brazil was an emerging economy, but
I what I didn’t know, was that the culture and the people would change my perception about life.” — Kenya

“It wasn’t until I was on my way to the airport and I had to turn into the international section when I suddenly real-
ized that I was about to travel to a new country. While I knew I would be visiting Brazil, I did not expect to be as im-
mersed into the culture as I was. It is so funny to think how it only took two weeks to fall in love with the people, cul-
ture, and country of Brazil.” — Gabriela Cardenas (2018)

“I don’t think I have ever smiled and laughed as much as I have on this trip. All of my responsibilities and
worries went away. Unplugging from the rest of the world and getting off of my phone was beneficial. It was
a lesson for all of us, to unplug more often and enjoy what is going on at the moment.”
