The Equilibrium Theory - Todorov

Children are often used as pawns in movies to help portray happiness and show innocence in society. The elderly lolly pop lady ensures the children's safety crossing the road and is obviously trusted. This portrays this microcosm as always wanting to do more and constantly volunteering which helps encourage the Equilibrium Theory.

This dream is used in many different books and films including of mice and men this is key because it portrays most Americans hopes and dreams for the future. Because this couple has already realised this it is used as a way to portray optimism for other people, therefore part of the Equilibrium Theory.
