Cruising the Fiji Islands
Our cruisesTake a magical journey through the stunning islands of Fiji, an archipelago of over 330 islands dotting the horizon of the South Pacific Ocean. Blue Lagoon Cruises takes you on a journey to see the ‘real’ Fiji, through the Mamanuca and Yasawa Island groups sitting off the western coast of Viti Levu, offering some of the most beautiful and striking scenery on offer in Fiji. You’ll see traditional Fijian villages, swim in crystal clear lagoons and gaze out on idyllic tropical scenes
you previously thought only existed in the movies!
Boutique small ship cruisingThe small size of Blue Lagoon Cruises boutique cruise ship, Fiji Princess, is just one of the things that makes a cruise with us so special. Measuring 179 feet (55 metres), she can access bays and islands that would be impossible to reach in a larger ship – we can get so close to shore that we can tie off to a coconut tree and you can swim to the beach! No jostling with hundreds of other guests on board and at busy port calls - even when full we have just 68 guests onboard. You only need to unpack once and then let your floating hotel take you from idyllic place to idyllic
experience – every day somewhere and something different!
The “Fiji Princess” experience Blue Lagoon Cruises was the founder of small ship cruising in the South Pacific. With over 60 years experience cruising the islands of Fiji, we know all the best places to take you. Who better to show you their home than the Fijians themselves? We pride ourselves on having an all Fijian crew and with one crew to every two guests ratio you just know you will be looked after. Our crew will quickly know you by name and every way you turn there will be a big “BULA” welcome. Blue Lagoon is sold internationally so you’ll get to meet travellers from all walks of life and all parts of the world.
A NEW Blue Lagoon Cruising experienceLast year Blue Lagoon Cruises was re-vitalised under new management and significant enhancements and inclusions were added to the cruises. New itineraries mean less open ocean cruising and more time ashore and in superb anchorages. We sought out and added unique experiences and more contact with the Fijians of the Yasawas. A highly experienced chef redesigned all our menus for us with an emphasis on the use of fresh local produce and the inclusion of traditional Fijian recipes. In April 2014 the vessel received an end to end makeover giving her a fresh modern look but still with that Pacific feel creating a new level of onboard comfort for our guests. An already wonderful cruising product has been returned to the iconic status it once had.
100% Fijian…
Relaxing and more relaxing is absolutely a part of what a Blue Lagoon Cruise is all about – Fijians invented the art of “chilling”. But each and every day and evening there will also
be an array of wonderful activities and unique experiences on offer.
…1000% more fun
“It was more than a cruise – it was like getting lost in another world. We forgot our city lives and happily drifted through these beautiful, beautiful islands.
We loved too all the contact with the Fijian people and the insight into their way of life. And the crew – well after just a couple of days it was like a big family.
We couldn’t stop saying BULA when we got home!“Tony & Virginia O’Reilly, Australia

Immerse yourself further with Vinaka Fiji Volunteering. Each cruise is an opportunity to reach out and thank the Yasawan people
for sharing their remote and beautiful part of Fiji with you.
So let’s try to paint a picture of: “extraordinarily amazing”.
The beautiful Fiji Princess, exclusively yours, cruising through the stunning Yasawa Islands on one of our itineraries or a tailor made one to destinations of your choice.
Ah... which turquoise lagoon to choose? …which isolated beach to choose?
Leave it to the chef to enjoy fine Fijian cuisine throughout your voyage or help choose some themed meals – a barbecue on a sand bar… a traditional Fijian “lovo” on our private island playground… dinner under the stars.
Activity you say – snorkelling and diving on pristine reefs – imagine taking your guests for their very first dive ever in their life! Swim with the manta rays. A traditional Fijian feast in an island village. Under the palms massages for all. Helicopter scenic flights over the Sacred Islands (WOW!)
How are we doing? Of course you could hold your event in an inner city hotel conference room with no windows… and no beaches… and no manta rays… or you could contact our groups representative to find out more about sole charter or groups on set departures.
Conferences, Weddings, Anniversaries, Incentives, Reunions, Birthdays and more… you name it and we can help make it special!
Events, conferences, special occasions - you don’t just want them to be good you want them to be EXTRAORDINARILY AMAZING!

“We look forward to working with you to create Fiji magic
for your special event.“
During your cruise we visit some Vinaka Fiji Volunteering projects operating with the support of the Vinaka Fiji Trust. Blue Lagoon Cruises is involved as a principal sponsor. The Trust was established in 2010 and works towards improving the provision of basic needs and amenities, often taken for granted in modern society, yet frequently missing from village life in the Yasawas. It’s goal is to give the people of the Yasawas the skills, knowledge and materials for a future where they no longer require assistance, but can be self-sufficient and fully sustainable.
We do hope that what you see and experience will encourage you to join us supporting these projects through the ‘Vinaka Fiji Donation’. At the end of your stay you are invited to opt in for the DONATION AMOUNT that will be automatically added to your account. The automatic DONATION AMOUNT that will be shown is 100FJD per cabin for 3 & 4 day cruise guests, 150FJD per cabin for 7 day cruise guests. You will have the chance to decline it or alter the amount.
Immerse yourself further. Join in on a future ‘Volunteering’ experience package. If it’s not for you, you can give these wonderful projects a further blessing by telling others. Do you know friends and relatives who would like to spend some time in this special area doing “Good Work”? We really appreciate Word of Mouth!
The volunteering packages are suitable for all ages. Families who want to ‘detox’ from the electronic world and experience real island village life, mature travellers who want to add a week of ‘substance’ to their holiday or young professionals and volunteers with a specific skill set. Choose from 3 programmes from 7 to 28 nights – Sustainable Communities, Children & Education or Marine Conservation.
For more information about Vinaka Fiji volunteering programs or donating please visit vinakafiji.org.fj or facebook.com/vinakafiji or email [email protected]
