Also called the Longest Night or Winter Solstice, Blue Christmas is a day in the
Advent season marking the longest night of the year. This years' Blue Christmas
falls on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. On this day, some churches hold a church
service that honors people that have lost loved ones and are experiencing grief
or loss of some sort. We have created this toolkit in the hopes that you would
like to host an event at your parish for those suffering through loss this year.
