UC Honors A-G Courses
Major changes for school-created “a-g” honors courses
Changes are effective starting with the 2015-16 academic year
No changes to calculating the UC GPA
No limits on school-created honors courses approved for a school’s “a-g” list
School-created, college-preparatory elective (“g”) honors courses now eligible for UC honors
UC Honors A-G Courses
UC honors courses must have a non-honors equivalent, but simultaneous offerings not required
Allow 10th grade courses to qualify for UC honors

Edits made to a course still require a review by UC
Archiving Courses
What is archiving?– Shelving an approved course that will not be offered for a given year or
years
Archived courses can be reinstated– Within 3 years do not require a full review– More than 3 years requires a full review

Demographic Information
No longer required as a first step in a submission cycle– Update information at any time– But, it still needs to be done annually!
Important to keep information accurate!– It’s how UC communicates with you.
