The RTP region is the center of the international clinical research industry. Come learn about the industry’s ecosystem, key companies and organizations, and the skills and training required for career advancement. Mr. Pope teaches the Healthcare Clinical Research Specialist and the Pathways to Launching a Career in Clinical Research courses.
236B Drones and FAA Certification Kenneth Shorsher
Unmanned aerial systems (UAS), or drones, have a wide variety of commercial and recreational uses. You have to know the rules – but once you do, there's money to be made! The FAA now requires all commercial drone pilots tp pass a test. Our courses will prepare you for that test through classroom and flight instruction.
403D Substitute Effective Teacher Training Paul Jenkins
We have 20-hour classes that will help you develop instructional preparation, time management and presentation skills, discipline strategies, and hands-on activities for the classroom. You'll also become familiar with state and local school laws and administrative expectations. Upon completion of this course, you'll be eligible for employment with Wake County Public Schools.

Make a profound difference in someone’s life – become a tutor! Work one-on-one or with small groups helping adult students master literacy, basic math, and other subjects. Full-time Wake Tech staff members have 20 hours of paid volunteer time each year that can be used for this purpose.
