Iraqi War
What surprised you the most when you viewed No End in Sight?
What surprised me the most while viewing the film was how many people were impacted by the war. It gave me a better perspective on how many peoples lives are affected each day by the Iraqi war. Not only are the people in Iraq affected but so are the troops and the families of people involved in the war.
U.S. Spending On War-U.S. monthly spending on Iraq in the year 2009 was about $7.3 billion
- It cost $390,000 to send one solider to Iraq for just one year!
- About $900 billion of U.S taxpayers’ funds were spent or approved to be used in the war
- About $10 billion were wasted or mismanaged in Iraq
Deaths in Iraq
- Over 15,000 journalists were killed by going to Iraq
- Iraqi Civilians killed is estimated to be over 600,000 and those are just the ones reported
- On Monday March 15th 2010 13 people were killed
- Over 4,000 American soldiers have been killed wounded in Iraq
