As a civil engineer I was interested early on in developing software solutions for water management and evolved a passion for software programming.
The next logical step was in 1983 the launch of the company BARTHAUER.
Through the power of innovation and tireless efforts of our competent staff, BARTHAUER grew in the last 25 years from a pioneer to one of the market leaders.
Meanwhile, we model the underground infrastructure of supply and disposal pipes comprehensively in both content and structure.
For this we provide both the engineering services as well as the system operator appropriate tools to capture, plan, manage, continue, calculate, operate and rehabilitate. The use of innovative database technology into our products ensu-res the secure and efficient data communica-tion between client and contractor, whereby particularly for us the data consistency and data integrity has a high priority value.
For twenty years, we ensure that our customers‘ data, e.g. within the scope of the ISYBAU Data formats, can be maintained and continued. The transparent data structures of our products and our multi-platform concept also means unique flexibility and investment safety.

Sewer and water distribution system designInteractive graphic design of pipelines, fittings, manholes, and sewers through integration into GIS/CAD programmes. Generation of longitudinal sections, design and definition of catchment areas, hydraulic network calculation, dimensio-ning (rational method), determination of quantities and costs.
Operation and maintenance management Management and documentation of any plant being maintained in the sewer and pipeline networks, comprising all associa-ted tasks. Masterplan and hydraulic calculationsHydrodynamic sewer network calculation as a single event or long-term simulati-on with direct calculation of pollutant load (without network simplification) from the inventory database as a tool for drawing up a masterplan of urban sewer networks. Hydraulic water supply network calculation (STANET/EPANET) comprising consumpti-on scenarios like current conditions and fire water intake as a tool for the generation of a masterplan.
Asset management for infrastructure objectsAsset management for infrastructure objects for the legally sound valuation of assets using the cameralistic and double-entry bookkeeping methods, basis for fee determination. Detailed cost determina-tion. Connection between technical data and assets accounting (SAP, DATEV, or MS Dynamics). Cost de-termination in accordance with the quantity and index procedures via contract section management. Auto-mated asset generation from BaSYS source data.

Information Viewer for Desktop, Mobile and InternetBaSYS GeoInfoDESK is a comprehensi-ve information viewer solution for desktop devices. BaSYS Web services enable the provision of network information from Ba-SYS databases via WebMap servers (e.g. ArcIMS, MapGuide, UMN, IWAN, CARDO, Google Earth, and Bing Maps). Mobile net-work information and the collection of man-hole source and condition data using GPS and RFID object recognition is possible.
