Forest Hills Band Boosters

Turpin High School
Cincinnati, OH
The Forest Hills Band Boosters are your hosts for the 2021 Band Expo Event. Our organization
combines the talents, support and ideas of our community and strives to bring us together to
provide the best musical and educational experience possible. In the spring of 2018, the high
school band programs of our district took the bold step to combine the high school marching
band programs, from Anderson and Turpin, to build upon the strong student, teacher, and
parent relationships developed over the years and pull our resources together to form the
Forest Hills Marching Arts Program. This collaborative approach allows our students to play
music together from elementary school, where they first explore musical instruments, all the
way through their high school careers. This approach also consolidates the variety of resources
and rich, diverse talents of our entire district’s music education staff.
Our marching arts high school program consists of marching band, winter guard and percussion
ensembles. The high school marching band competes in several competitive circuits: The Ohio
Music Educators Association (OMEA), Mid-States Band Association and at the national level
through Bands of America. The winter percussion and guard compete in the Tristate, Mid-East
and WGI circuits.
For more information on our music programs, ensembles, volunteer opportunities and more,
visit www.fhbands.org. Tweet out your experience today using #FHBandExpo and follow us on
Facebook (Forest Hills Bands), on Instagram (fh_bands) and on Twitter (@FHMarchingArts). If
you are a parent or grandparent of a Forest Hills band student, please consider joining our
booster organization at www.fhbands.org/boosters. All funds support our six elementary
bands, our middle school band, both high school music programs and our combined marching
band program. Thank you for making music education possible for all our students!

Your role in today’s event is particularly important! Thank you for showing support for the
students from all the schools participating in this event. Please remember the following:
♪ Silence all cell phones, watches, and other electronic device, even if your ringtone is a
march by John Phillip Sousa.
♪ Remain in place during performances. Please exit and/or enter between performances,
rather than during a performance as both a courtesy to those around you and to show
respect for the band on the field.
♪ Keep all aisles clear.
♪ Converse with those around you between performances, so the student performers
continue to be the stars of the show.
♪ Applaud for each band as if it were your own. All bands appreciate your enthusiastic
