Worldwide School Worldwide School is located in central Auckland city.
We are inside 80 Anzac Avenue, a six storey modern building.
Reception and Administration are on Level 3 (also Ground floor).
The Learning Centre/Library is on Level 2.
Worldwide School Classrooms are on Level 5. The student lounge, recreation area,
cafe and outside deck area are on the top floor, Level 6 with views of
Auckland's beautiful sparkling harbour.
Worldwide School of English – Profile
Worldwide School of English is a Category 1 NZQA school and members of ENGLISH NEW
ZEALAND, Quality English and IALC.
We offer English language education for students at a great location in mid city Auckland.
We offer 7 levels of General English (minimum age 18).
We offer Business English classes as well as Cambridge FCE/CAE, IELTS and TOEIC Exam
Preparation classes. Our classes have an average of 11-13 students per class.
All class materials for General English courses are provided free to the student. We don’t use one
textbook because for each level we have developed a special curriculum using a range of
internationally approved textbooks as well as DVD’s, magazines, listening files, online learning,
newspapers and other resources developed by the school.
General English morning classes teach essential grammar, vocabulary, functions and improve
students' writing and reading skills. Students also receive a lot of listening and speaking practice and
teachers encourage students to practise their speaking, give opinions and ask questions.
General English afternoon classes concentrate even more on the fluency skills introduced in the
morning classes. There is a lot of pair and group work discussions on many varied and interesting
topics and exercises to improve listening skills used in everyday English.
Every Friday afternoon students can choose: special class options, Job Club, a cheap activity, a
movie at school or a practice test (IELTS, TOEIC).
We believe in international English and our teachers are from many different English speaking
countries. At Worldwide School you can speak with and learn English with students from many
different countries. This is a wonderful chance to REALLY learn and experience international English.
Speaking with French, Vietnamese, Brazilians, Thais, Germans, Japanese, Colombians and others
helps your English to get even better.
A full range of after school activities, social programme and weekend trips are also organised.
Our facilities include a Library/Self Access Area with self-study material and 1000's of books and
magazines, computers with FREE Internet and Online learning access as well as free WiFi in the
whole building, a Muslim Prayer and a Movie Room.
We also have a large student lounge that has a cafe offering food and drink, chairs and tables as well
as comfortable sofas and an outside deck with chairs and tables, BBQ and a table tennis table.
Native language counsellors, academic counselling/placement for further study and airport
pick-up is available for Worldwide Students.
We arrange Homestays with New Zealand families and all of our families are carefully inspected and
selected. In addition we offer single and share apartment accommodation at central city apartments.

Our teaching is based on the most up-to-date communicative method of teaching
English and is designed to involve students as much as possible in their learning.
We create an enjoyable and warm learning environment in our classrooms. Our
students are actively involved in communicating with the teacher and with each
other. Students are expected to talk, give opinions and be involved in their learning
as well as STUDY HARD.
18 years old is the minimum age at the main school adult programme. We have no
maximum age. 1 week is the minimum course length for General English.
English is an international language spoken all over the world by many different

At Worldwide we offer a range of after school and weekend trip activities as well as
PLUS activity courses.
Weekend trips are a great way to see beautiful NZ as well as make new friends
and practise English.
Job Club + Function Staff

• Free training and job placements for Worldwide School students who meet requirements.

are programmes we offer with English.
New Zealand homestays are famous for being kind and friendly. All of our
homestays have been inspected by our homestay co-ordinator and are
experienced at hosting students from all over the world. Our homestay families are
close to a bus stop or a train station and between 30-45 minutes to school.
Rooms are fully furnished and have desks for students to study at.

We co-operate with several apartment providers and so we can also help to
book one of these. Depending on your requests and availability, we will find
the best apartment option for you.
Deposit to be paid on arrival
Final cleaning fee on check-out might be deducted from the deposit.
