Association of Financial Economists17th Annual Meeting

Boston, MA, 7–9 January, 2000

Four sessions of competitively selected papers willbe featured in conjunction with the Allied SocialScience Associations (ASSA) Annual Meeting.Theoretical, empirical and policy analyses across abroad spectrum of topics will be featured. Espe-cially encouraged are papers integrating the theoryof finance and industrial organization in topic areassuch as: corporate contracting, governance andorganization, the market for corporate control(buyouts, mergers, share repurchases, spinoffs),managerial labor markets, measuring monopolyprofits, and the information content of accountingdata. Both members and nonmembers are invitedto submit papers, offer their services as sessionchairs and discussants, and/or make program sug-gestions. Submissions are free to dues-paying mem-bers of AFE. New members may join AFE at the

time of submission; simply complete and mail yourmembership application along with materials sub-mitted for presentation at the annual meeting.Membership fees received from new members at thepoint of material submission will be accepted in lieuof the identical submission fee for nonmembers.Send papers and/or make program suggestions to:
