exciting to you?
The author's purpose is basically the reason he or she writing the text. There are 4 main reasons why someone writes. 1. Pursued 2. Instruct 3. Entertain 4. Inform
It differs from the main idea in that author's purpose not the point you're supposed to get; it's the why behind the author picked up a pen or selected those words in the first place.
Summarize this in your notes - write “Author’s Purpose” on the left and write the summary on the right.
Persuade:To make audience believe or act
