Opening Asset Visualizer
1. Click on the menu item Admin, then Asset management then Asset visualize as shown.

At the left side you will see Assets hierarchy part and asset selector part
Assets Hierarchy
It is for viewing the equipment in the system location tree also for viewing any diagrams related to this
equipment.

1. System : containing the system name (as WASCO system), when clicking the blue arrowbeside this field the system tree hierarchy will appear
2. Tag Number:for writing the tag number of the equipment that you want to view itsdiagram(2D or 3D), for example write E-1502 then click search button
3. Click on the first button appears at the page which named 1013-15-06-DR-003-003 whichis the diagram name you will see the following 2D diagram

Assets Selector
Used for searching the location tree and locating the equipment on the tree, also viewing any diagram
related to the searched equipment
Fields and steps1. Tag : contains the tag number of the equipment (for example E-1502)2. Title: if you do not remember the tag number and remember the title of the equipment so
write the title.
3. Click on the search icon, you will see a small grid appears down containing E-1502 as shown

4. By clicking the blue arrow beside the appeared record at the grid, the location of thatequipment on the location tree(Asset hierarchy) will be selected as shown, also 2 button
will appear one for 2D diagram and the other for the 3D Diagram of this equipment.
If the equipment does not contain any diagram no buttons appear.

Code: The code of tool you want to add it, for example CR is code for Crane
Title: The title of the tool, for exampleCrane

Vendor: A vendor who is submitting the tool (choose from the vendors list).
Rate: A number representing amount of money this tool costs me, for example 300
Rate Unit: currency unit, for example choose Egyptian pound or dollar for the currency of
the rate 300 written above.
Rate Duration Unit: duration of renting for example choosing hours it means this tool cost
me 300 Egyptian pounds per hour.IsStocked: check this box if the tool item found in the stock (belongs to me)
IsOutside: check this box if the tool item is getting from the outside and not found in the
stock.

Adding a Location
Fields and steps
1. Select the parent location you wish to add a child location in from the asset hierarchy treeExample to add a location named "Location1" under the WASCO location, first open the nodes
of the WASCO_SYSTEM by clicking on the blue icon beside the system drop down, select the
WASCO location first then add the new location as in step 2
Note: If the selected system has no locations the new location will be the root location of the
selected system.
2. Click on the add new location icon at the top left corner of the page3. A blank form appears4. Add the Details as follows
a. DETAILS TAB
Tag Number: The title of the location type, for example insert Location1.Note: Tag numbers should be unique across the system, they can duplicate but this
will interface with the quick tag search feature of the asset hierarchy tree.
Description: A short description of the location type, for example Location1". Type: The type of the locations, select "Operating"
o Salvage: A salvage yardo Repair: A repair yardo Labor: A labor areao Storeroom: A storeroomo Operating: An operating location "Ex. a unit or an equipment"o Vendor: A vendor location "Ex. Petromaint, etc..."o Courier: A courier location "DHL, etc..."
Status: the current status of the locationo Not Ready: The location is still not ready or not runningo Operating: The location is operating and readyo Decommissioned: the location is decommissioned
Criticality: An integer number representing the relative criticality of the location inthe company, the number alone is not meaningful is provides relative comparison
between asset for example "a separator with criticality 2 has higher criticality than a
water pump in a none critical loop with criticality 3"
Failure Class: If the location represents an equipment select its failure class whichrepresent a list of common failure problems the asset can face during operation, for
example "select (Heat Exchanger - Shell and Tube) for a shell and tube type heat
exchanger"
Ecode1: The ID of the location from other electronic systems "MAXIMO, SAP, etc..." Operations Authority: The responsible employee from operations responsible for
the location

Asset Class: The class of the asset, for example "HEAT EXCHANGER" for a heatexchanger, provides high level grouping for locations
Asset Sub Class: The subclass of the asset based on the asset class selected, it
provides a finer level of grouping for locations, for example "for the HEAT
EXCHANGER class select the SHELL & TUBE sub class"
Asset Category: The general category of the asset whether it is a STATIC orROTATING asset
o DYNAMIC: location not really static nor rotaryo ELEC: electrical equipmentso INSTRUMENTS: instrumentso ROTARY: rotary locations "pumps, etc..."o STATIC: static locations "vessels, etc..."
PID: The main PID number for the location Responsible Discipline: Which discipline is mainly responsible for the location, for
example a chiller will have the Mechanical discipline as the main responsible
discipline while a pressure transmitter on it will have the Instrumentation discipline
as the responsible discipline
Warranty Date: the date of warranty expiration if available
b. Specifications TAB Template:
o The template is a predefined set of detail fields "Datasheet" that provideextra details about the location based on its type for example select "HEAT
EXCHANGER" for our new location
o Click on the small orange icon to create the fields

o The fields change from template to another, after clicking start filling theavailable fields with available data
o All the fields are not required to be filledo When clicking the orange icon all prevoius stored field values are going to
be replaced with blanks for the newly selected template even if it is the
same template.

Searching for a location
To search for a location there are two ways for searching
o Using the tag number textbox in the Location Selector section of the screen Start typing the tab number of choice and an auto complete list will popup to give
locations which starts with the text you are typing
Select one of the selections then click on the small binocular icon beside the textbox If the tag number entered is available the tree will open and traverse to the location
with the tag number entered

o Using the search tab in the right part of the screen After selecting the search tab you can search using all the search criteria in the tab
oTag number: search for a location with the specified tag numberNote: the tag number fields supports wild characters
o % = any no. of characters ex. Loc%1 = Find all locations starting withLoc and ending in 1 and have any No. of character in between
o _ = a single character ex. Loc_1 = Find all locations starting with Locand ending in 1 and have any single character in between

The search uses the AND logical operator between criteria ex. if we set the tag
number = %loc1 and criticality = 2 then we are searching for locations with a tag
ending in loc1 and a criticality of 2
After entering the criteria click on the search icon in the search tab A list matching locations appear with an edit icon beside them
Click on the icon to go to the selected locationDeleting a location
To delete a location first select the location you want to delete Click on the delete icon in the top toolbar

Confirm the deleteNotes:
1. The delete will not be successful if the location is referenced to other entities inthe system like a child location, container for an equipment or referenced in a
workorder, all reference must be removed before the delete process is
completed otherwise the delete operation cancels and a red label appear in the
toolbar
Move location page
The move location page allows to change the location parents visually using two asset hierarchy trees
and dragging from a source tree to a destination tree.
The operations are one at a time which means every time you move a location you have to save first in
order not to build up move operation and cause confusion if one step was wrong or forgotten.

First open the page Select the system from the system drop down then click on the blue arrow to fill the trees with
the root location
Traverse both trees until you find the location you want to move in the source tree and thedestination location in the destination tree
Drag the required location from the source tree to the required location in the destination tree Click on the save icon and reload the trees by clicking on the blue arrow to confirm the changes

The page is divided into 3 parts:
Asset Selector in the top left: This where you select the equipment Meters list in the bottom left: This is where all the meters for the select equipment is viewed, to
add readings to one click on the icon beside it to view its readings in the right part of the screen
The right part of the screen is where the readings appear, there is a details form in the top partand a list of all the readings in the lower part
Note: You can only edit the last reading.
To add a reading
Select the required meter. Click on the add new reading icon in the top left toolbar in the screen. Enter the details in the details form
Fields are:
o Reading date: The date of the readingNote: It cannot be lower than the last reading inserted
o Value: The value of the reading.Note: If the meter type is "Continuous" then the reading cannot be lower than the
previous one, if it is "Trigger" then the reading can be lower.o Meter Rollover Value: If the reading is after a meter rollover click on the Is Rollover
checkbox and enter the meter rollover value
Click on the save icon when finished

To add a new status:
