SMARTER BALANCED TESTING (SBAC) The SBAC is a series of comprehensive end of year assessments of grade-level learning that measure student progress toward college and career readiness. Each test is comprised of two parts:
(1) a computer adaptive test
(2) a performance task.
The Summative Assessments are aligned with the Common Core State Standards (CCSS) for English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics. The tests capitalize on the strengths of computer adaptive testing—efficient and precise measurement across the full range of achievement and timely turnaround of results.

Immigration Status
How does the District Handle Immigration Status?
Over the past few weeks there have been questions in our
state and around our community about what would occur if
immigration officials wanted access to any of our students’
information. All of our school leaders and office staff are
directed not to release any student information without a
warrant or court order. We do not ask for or track any in-
formation regarding immigration status, We do not turn
away any child from receiving an education.
