2 Introduction
This document is a standard module overview for:RBS antennas and accessoriesRemote electrical tilt units (RET units) and RET control cables
Always make sure to have the latest revision of this document, 131 22-COH 109 393/1, as it is regularly updated.
The antenna product portfolio is divided into three main categories:Preferred antennas (chapter 3)Other antennas (chapter 4)Alternative antennas (chapter 5)
Other antennas normally have longer lead times and can be chosen if there are no suitable options among the Preferred antennas. Alternative, less recommended, antennas can be chosen if there are no suitable options among Preferred or Other antennas. See also notes about RET below.
Note:Antennas from different vendors cannot be correctly compared based only on datasheets as their true performance often differ.Multi band antennas using filter technology are more compact (shorter and/or narrower) than other alternatives. When comparing these with similar sized alternatives using stacked systems internally note significant gain differences. Lower gain translates to additional sites for similar system performance.Any RET compatible antenna is only compatible with a RET unit from that antenna manufacturer.Mounting clamps are delivered with antennas.

Note: Distributed filter technology combining the 1800 MHz and 2100 MHz frequency bands on the same antenna radiating elements allows individual tilt setting for each frequency band and gives significant gain advantage in the mentioned frequency bands, compared with other triple band antennas on the market, especially on shorter antenna lengths. Other triple band antennas typically have two stacked high band systems, i.e. two half length high band systems inside. Triple band antennas with two high band systems side by side instead of stacked, are wider and have higher wind load.
