8. TRANSPONDER AD is equipped with mode S movement
radar. Pilots must ensure that transponders are able to operate when ACFT is on ground. Pilots should select transponder or equivalent acc to specifi c installation,
auto if avbl. (not off or STBY) and the assigned mode A code from: a) The REQ for push-back or taxi
whichever earlier.b) After LDG, continuously until ACFT is fully parked on stand.
ACFT with mode S having an ACFT ID should set ACFT ID from FMS or trans- ponder control panel.

10. PARKING To prevent dazzling the marshaller or push-back crew, pilots are requested when
reaching or leaving parking position on apron, to switch off their LDG lights and, when equipped with both red anti-collision light and white strobe light, to switch off the latter system as well.

at 3000ft. 2030-0530: After LDG, the use of idle

5. MISSED APPROACH wHILE CIRCLINg tO LAND

11. RNAv TRANSITIONS DuRING NIGhT 22-05
For environmental reasons the RNAV transition procedures for RWY 06 and RWY 18R must be executed by all jet ACFT at night.
1. START-uP The pilot shall be able to comply with start-
up, push-back and taxi permission, without delay. Any delay in this DEP sequence shall be reported to ATC immediately. To reduce Radio TFC - CTC Start-up FREQ without ATC instr after obtaining and readback of CLR on DLV FREQ.
2. EN-ROuTE CLEARANCE 2.1 En-route clearance may be requested to
Schiphol DLV MAX 20min (30min if RWY 36L is used) prior to EOBT or 35min
(45min if RWY 36L is used) prior to CTOT.
2.2 CLR may also be requested from DCL (DEP CLR Service). Maintain a listening watch on FREQ published for CLR DLV.
Prior to DEP pilot and air traffic controller shall verify that DEP route assigned via DCL Service logically refers to RWY used and to the route indicated in the current ATC flight plan. In the event of any deviations or doubts, voice procedures shall be resumend.
3. PuSh-BACK AND TAXI PROCEDuRES Power back using reverse thrust is not
allowed.3.1 Pilots should only request push-back having
confirmed the ground crew is ready. Anti collision lights must be switched on just prior to pushback.
3.2 Push-back must be commenced within 1 MIN after push-back CLR received, otherwise CLR will expire and a new CLR must be requested.
3.3 Alternative Push-back The ACFT will be pushed in the opposite
direction from the standard push-back direction. Alternate Push-back not available
during LVP.
4. CAuTION fOR jET BLAST Pilots are advised to keep power setting to
a minimum at the following positions:
At TWY A when turning left onto TWY S7 for line-up RWY 24.
After push-back TWY A10 when turning right onto TWY A13.
After push-back TWY A16 when turning right onto TWY A.

VISUAL ROUTES

1. NOTE Non-Adherence to these procedures leads
to an unacceptable load for ATC and may result in the flight being refused to enter the CTR or being instructed to leave the CTR. In these cases the pilot is obliged to inform ATC whether he will hold outside the CTR awaiting (re-)entry clearance or will divert to another AD. In the latter case ATC shall be informed to which AD the aircraft will divert.
2. GENERAL2.1 CTR has been designated as controlled
airspace (Class C).
2.2 All VFR flights within Schiphol CTR shall submit a flight plan. Permission for VFR flights in the Schiphol CTR must be obtained:
2.2.1 Prior to penetration of the CTR by submitting a request at least 10min before ETA Schiphol, and
2.2.2 Prior to departure from Schiphol by a request for start-up clearance, in accordace with the following procedures:
i. Inbound Flights. Contact SCHIPHOL TOWER at least 10min before ETA Schiphol for entry clearance (abbreviated phraseology: aircraft identification and type, VFR to Schiphol, estimating VICTOR at ....., ATIS information, for landing).
ii. Outbound Flights. Pilots must have obtained a start-up clearance from ATC before starting engines.
2.2.3 All VFR flights to be carried out via the VFR sector unless otherwise instructed or requested by ATC.
2.2.4 All acft performing VFR flights in the Schiphol CTR must show their landing lights.
3. INBOUND3.1 File a VFR flight plan at AD of departure at
least 60min before ETD. Report changes in ETD in excess of 30min to the ATS Reporting Office (ARO).
3.2 Inform the relevant FIC of changes in excess of 30min in ETA. Contact SCHIPHOL TOWER at least 10min before ETA Schiphol for CTR entry clearance giving details as above. Pilots may be instructed to contact SCHIPHOL APPROACH, ARRIVAL or DEPARTURE for radar control.
4. VICTOR ARRIVAL:4.1 Approach the AD via the VFR sector at
1000 or below and report over VICTOR. The points VICTOR, ALPHA and BRAVO may be used as visual holding points.
4.2 Execute a normal circuit unless a SHORT VFR approach pattern (THRESHOLD - BASE LEG or MIDRUNWAY - BASE LEG) is required by ATC or when approved by ATC on pilots request.
5. SHORT VFR APPROACH PATTERNS The Short VFR approach patterns
(THRESHOLD - BASE LEG and MIDRUNWAY - BASE LEG) are based on a maximum TAS of 120kt and RATE 2 turns. They are established to avoid traffic operations on other Rwys, to expedite traffic and for noise abatement purposes. The short VFR circuit procedures shall be carried out as per V1C.
6. OUTBOUND6.1 File a VFR flight plan at least 60min before
ETD. Report changes in ETD in excess of 30min to the ATS Reporting Office (ARO). If ATD not within 60min of ETD, ATC will consider the flight plan as cancelled.
6.2 Pilots must have obtained start up clearance from ATC before starting engines. A request for start-up shall be made to SCHIPHOL DELIVERY. Clearance for start-up will be issued immediately or at a specified time depending on traffic and/or main rwys in use.
7. VICTOR DEPARTURE After take-off climb to not above 1000. Join
the VFR sector within a distance of Max 4nm from the AD (ALPHA) and report clear of the CTR over VICTOR.

8. COMMUNICATION FAILURE PROCEDURE FOR VFR FLIGHTS

9. VFR OUTBOUND If departure instructions contain a
clearance limit in the CTR, act in accordance with para 20, otherwise adhere to departure instructions.
10. VFR INBOUND, VIA VICTOR ARRIVAL10.1 If failure occurs prior to joining the circuit,
leave the CTR according to VICTOR DEPARTURE (see para 12), and divert to an appropriate AD.
10.2 If failure occurs at or after BRAVO (circuit joining point), execute a circuit as short as practicable for the last received and acknowledged rwy (Helispot). If rwy appears clear, make a full stop landing, vacating as soon as possible. Otherwise initiate a go around and execute similar circuit maintaining good visual separation from other traffic.
11. INBOUND VIA DIFFERENT ROUTE11.1 If failure occurs prior to joining the circuit,
follow procedure in para 20.
11.2 If failure occurs after joining the circuit, follow procedure in para 16.
11.3 If failure occurs overhead the AD, maintain altitude, proceed to BRAVO and follow procedure outlined in para 15.
12. VFR CROSSING THE CTR If failure is experienced, leave CTR
via shortest route on a radial, maintain altitude until outside the CTR. Avoid crossing a rwy centreline or ILS area and proceed to an appropriate AD.
