KRISTINA DUBS
Kristina became the bride of Nate Dubs, our associate pastor, in November, 2011. She transferred her membership from the college church in Collegedale, TN. That is where she and Nate tied the knot. She had lived in Collegedale since moving from New Jersey when she was a high school freshman. She graduated from Southern Adventist University with a degree in nursing last May and now works on a medical/surgical floor at Johnson City Medical Center.
When not working, Kristina enjoys cooking and trying new recipes. She and Nate have a dog and they enjoy hiking, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
Kristina has already been delighted our church family with her friendliness. We think Nate chose very well!

Could This Be the One?Written by Norman Draper
Another year and we’re still here.
This New Year just might be
The one we’ve been waitin’ for -
I don’t know – we’ll see.
All I know is the bridegroom’s comin’
To take His beautiful bride
For weddin’ vows at His house -
Far beyond the sky.
We’re all invited to the weddin’.
We’re just waitin’ for the groom.
He’s the one – the Father’s Son.
He’s comin’ for us soon.
It’s been longer than we planned -
But we’re closer than before.
It might be that we’ll have to wait
'Til this coming year, sometime – Or more.
So keep things ready just in case
He comes when you’re asleep.
Deep in time the worlds grows darker
And light seems hard to keep.
We wait and wonder when and how
This year may be the one.
Pray for faith and love and strength
To Hold fast ‘til He comes.
WENDELL AND AUDREY WILCOX
Wendell and Audrey Wilcox come to us from Napa Valley, CA via Idaho. They have a daughter in Idaho and had been in Idaho for the summer months. They arrived here in October and are residing at Wellington Assisted Living Center. They are the parents of Wendy Barlow. They also have a son in L.A. and a son in Ithaca, N.Y. They have 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild, with another on the way.
Wendell and Audrey have a very long history of mission service. Wendell served as president of the Union Mission in Thailand, Indonesia, Korea, North Borneo, and Singapore. Their children attended Far Eastern Academy. Once the 4 children had left home, Audrey served as an administrative secretary in the mission offices.
They enjoy walking and bird watching. We hope they will be very happy in Greeneville and as members of our church family.
We enjoyed a wonderful Christmas
program on Sabbath,
December 24.
If you missed it, DVD's are

RETURN SERVICE REQUESTED
Over fifty-thousand graduates of the Coronary Health Improvement Project, popularly known as CHIP, are happily taking personal responsibility for their own health, and have never felt better. This internationally successful program will be coming to the Greeneville SDA Church beginning on January 16, 2012. CHIP is an integral part of the church’s health ministry program. 2012 will be the 11th year of our church offering the CHIP lifestyle program, resulting in about 400 CHIP graduates in the Greeneville community.
“Seventy-percent of deaths in our country are directly related to lifestyle factors,” says Dr. Hans Diehl, DrHSc, MPH, founder and speaker for CHIP. His
blend of humor and health science has educated and motivated participants around the world to make healthier choices.
Each session presents scientifically validated strategies for healthier living, along with food samples, practical demonstrations by trained volunteers, and more. Medical professionals are on hand to answer questions, but participants are encouraged to maintain communication with their own physicians, as well.
The next CHIP program will be held January 16-February 19, 2012 in the Fellowship Hall of the Greeneville SDA Church. It will be followed by regular alumni meetings for continuing education and ongoing support. Information is also available by calling 423-638-6633 or 423-620-9652
CHIP brochures are available on the table in the front church foyer. Please take extra brochures for family, co-workers and friends who may be interested.
