DAY 2: MUNICH Arrive to Munich, Germany. Located at the river Isar in the south of Bavaria, is famous for its beautiful architecture, fine culture, and the annual Oktoberfest beer celebration. Munich’s cultural scene is second to none in Germany. Although it was heavily damaged by allied bombing during World War II, many of its historic buildings have been rebuilt and the city center appears mostly as it did in the late 1800s. Tonight enjoy a welcome dinner at your hotel. (Overnight in Munich) (D)

DAY 3: MUNICH - PASSAUToday you will enjoy a tour of the city of Munich. Continuing on you will enjoy a scenic drive to Passau where you will enjoy a city tour. This fairy-tale city founded more than 2,000 years ago. Situated at the confluence of the rivers Danube, Inn and llz, Passau is known worldwide as “The Three Rivers City”. Passau with its unique charm and its atmosphere is one of the most beautiful and spectacular German cities on the Danube before boarding our elegant river cruise ship the Brilliant, where you will be greeted with a welcome drink. The 5-star Amadeus Brilliant recently launched in 2011, and can accomodate up to 150 passengers in its 67 spacious cabins. She is distinguished by staterooms on her decks, which have full-length French doors that open into your cabin (cabins on the first deck have large windows). DAY 4: DANUBE CRUISING OR SALZBURGToday enjoy a day of leisure cruising along the Danube. You may also visit the beautiful city of Salzburg. Here you will have the opportunity to see sites like the historic center, admire exquisite Mirabell Gardens, the Great Festival Hall, St. Peter’s Churchyard, and the monumental Domplatz. Also visit Mozart’s Birthplace in the charming Getreidegasse. You will arrive in Vienna in the afternoon. You will have the entire night to explore the wonderful city of Vienna - home to the waltz, coffee houses, the Prater park and one of the world’s finest opera houses. This is where Marie-Antoinette grew up and where Mozart died, and for 600 years it was the hub of the vast Hapsburg Empire. (B,L,D)

About Your Ship:Amadeus Brilliant

The Brilliant is a modern ship launched recently in 2011. Facilities include a Panorama lounge/bar, library, hairdresser and gift shop. On the spacious sundeck you will also find a walking track, small pool, covered area with the Lido bar. All cabins on board are outward facing, spacious (160 sqft) and are equipped with two twin beds, shower, wash basin and wc, air-conditioning, direct-dial telephone, colour TV with satellite programs. The Panorama Dining Room offers marvellous views while you enjoy well prepared delicious meals.

the most interesting parts of the castle including, the magnificent Hall of Ceremonies, the imposing Gobelin Salon, and the Millions Room with its beautiful paneling of rare rosewood. This afternoon we visit Bratislava, the capital of Slovakia, is situated at the foothills of the Carpathian Mountains on the banks of the Danube River. This afternoon you will enjoy an excursion that will start with a walking tour through the carefully restored old town. You can walk through Kapilus Lane, where you will be able see the seminar of the priests as well as the Gothic Church of the Clarissin Order. The market square features the highlights of the Old Town, the Roland fountain, the impressive townhouses of the former nobility and the ‘Primatial Palace’ with its remarkable gallery of famous European artists. The 17th century Gobelin collection is particularly worth seeing. On the way back to the vessel, you will pass by the ‘Hviedaslav Square’ with the Opera House, the Ganymed Fountain and the concert hall. Depart Bratislava and while you are sleeping you will be cruising your way to Budapest. (B,L,D)

DAY 6: BUDAPESTArrive first thing in the morning to Budapest. Today enjoy a city tour of the twin old world capitals, Buda & Pest, which are linked by many wonderful bridges spanning the Danube, the tour includes such sites as Fisherman’s Bastion & St. Matthias Church. A must see is the view from Citadell Hill and then see Parliament building and Hero’s Square. (B,L,D)

DAY 7: BUDAPEST, SZENTENDRE & ESZTERGOMYou will have until 1pm to explore Budapest and discover what this city has to offer like the famed baths, the Ronald Reagan Statue etc. This afternoon you will have the choice of cruising the Scenic Danube and taking in the wonderful views or visit both Szentendre & Esztergom. Known for a “Mediterranean atmosphere” that few other Hungarian settlements can offer, Szentendre has become a go to destination for artists searching for inspiration, Esztergom, is the seat of the Hungarian Catholic Church, and one of the oldest towns in Hungary. The Basilica of Esztergom, a masterpiece of Classicism, is the third largest church

in Europe. Esztergom has always played an important role in Hungary’s history. It was the birth and coronation place of the first Hungarian king, St. Stephen, as well as the capital of Hungary until the 13th century. Reboard the Brilliant in the early evening and cruise overnight to Vienna. (B,L,D)

DAY 8: VIENNAAfter breakfast you will explore the fascinating city of Vienna. The trip along the elegant Ring Boulevard will give you the opportunity to obtain a first impression of the city with its various buildings. You will pass the government offices, the municipal park, the Karl’s square, the opera, the Hofburg, and various museums. (B,L,D)

DAY 9: DURNSTEIN - MELK Today you will visit Durnstein and Melk. The charming town of Durnstein offers the unique combination of a breathtaking scenery, traditional architecture, and places of historic interest. The breathtaking scenery with its ancient, terraced vineyards, the numerous cultural sites and the mild climate will make you want to linger. You will also visit Melk. Located on the bank of the Danube River, Melk Abbey stands crowned by towers and resplendent in a golden hue. Especially noteworthy is the church with magnificent frescoes by Johann Michael Rottmayr and the library containing countless medieval manuscripts.(B,L,D)

Refunds: Cancellations made more than 180 days prior to departure for any reason, will be issued a refund less $450 per person. Cancellations made 150 days to 125 days prior to departure date will receive a refund less $1,000 per person. Cancellations made 124 to 61 days prior to departure date will receive a refund of 50% of the total trip cost. Any cancellations made within 60 days of departure will be charged 100% of total trip cost. A travel protection plan is not included in the cost of this trip. CD strongly encourages participants to purchase a travel protection plan. Plans are available through us at www.chamberdiscoveries.com. Written notice of cancellation is required and is effective when received by Chamber Discoveries during normal business hours. Note: Valid U.S. passport required. Single supplements are limited. River level advisory: Too much rain or not enough can alter your cruise itinerary. Rising or falling rivers and can mean that passage under low bridges is not possible or that water levels are too shallow to permit cruising.
