Alt: What inspired you create Operation Ferguson?
Commander X: Righteous indignation and outrage.
Alt: Recently it was discovered The National Guard referred to Ferguson
Protestors as "ENEMY FORCES". From my view there seems to be a coordinated
effort from the State to undermine the Ferguson Protestors the entire
#blacklivematter movement even.. Am I drinking the conspiracy kool‐aid?
Have you experienced or witnessed anything that made you feel the same way?
Commander X: I think that from their perspective all protest
movements are the enemy. So this sort of thing does not surprise
me. I have been an activist for 30 years beginning with the
Anti‐Apartheid fight in the '80's and to be perfectly honest
not much has changed in regards to how the USA governments view
dissent. We are simply in a position to reveal this to the world
because of the technology we now have at our disposal.
No I don't think you're drunk on Koolaid. As I said, in their
eyes we endanger their way of life and system. And we do in fact
represent a serious challenge to this system.
And I think that deep inside, they know that people like
them will have no place in the new world that protest movements
around the globe are fighting to bring about.
So this makes us all "enemy combatants" to them.
Alt: Your Operation Ferguson page radiated love and unity and I want you to know
we appreciate you gangster. Tell us more about setting up the operation.
Commander X: I knew from the first hour of Op Ferguson, as I raced
to set up the site and Twitter while Mike Brown's body still lay
in the street ‐ that this Op would need to be handled very
carefully. I have made every effort to make certain we never try
and lead from the front, or to try and preach any particular
protest ethic or strategy. I knew that to win the hearts of the
POC's in the BLM movement we would need to be very cautious about
showing perfect solidarity with their ideas, their voice, and
their rage. This old white hippy even learned to love hip hop!
I believe from speaking with TefPoe, Bassem Masri ‐ and many other
BLM protest leaders in Ferguson and across the USA, that we
succeeded in this and thus won their trust in Anonymous. I know
for a fact (I can't say how I know this) that Mike Brown's parents
are delighted with Anonymous being involved in the fight to seek
justice for her son. I am really happy we could get it right, and
help these people fight against this genocide. It has been one of
my greatest honors as an Anon to stand and fight in solidarity
with these beautiful people. If I could return to the USA I would
live in Ferguson in a heartbeat.
Alt: The film HACKER WARS by Vivien Lesnik Weisman implies that the FBI
helped create AntiSec and were instrumental in promoting Occupy Wall Street.
What the fuck do you make of this crazy shit?
Commander X: Sabu did NOT create AntiSec. AntiSec is
actually an old BlackHat term for a certain hacking philosophy, it
dates back decades. It was adopted by the former members of
LulzSec as a group name because that philosophy seemed to them to
line up with their intended purpose. While Sabu was certainly a
big cheerleader for this new group, he neither came up with the
idea ‐ nor
was he their "leader" in any sense of the word.
As for the FBI promoting Occupy Wall Street that is rubbish. I was
IN the IRC channel the day Anons (NOT Ad Busters as is reported)
came up with the very idea and even the name of Occupy Wall
Street. Myself and hundreds of Anons in the USA worked night and
day to assist and promote Occupy Wall Street. Sabu was but one
voice. And that's all he was was a voice, he never actually did
anything useful for the cause except tweet.
Alt: Any words of encouragement to all the <would be> freedom fighters and
script kiddies out there who may be terrified of the states reach.
"Courage is not a lack of fear. Courage isfear that has said it's prayers." <Commander X>
