A Note from Mary Louise
I just wanted to give a quick shout of congratulations and thanks to ALL of our 4-H members, families and volunteers!! Albany County 4-H is amazing!! I am super blessed to call this county home. Many of my colleagues are jealous!! 4-H this summer was amazing and we have culminated with an outstanding county fair and state fair. Many awards were brought home but more importantly the life skills that were brought home and the memories that were made. Record books are due by 5 PM on October 6
th. Members really do not have an excuse for not doing these. They definite-
ly are not hard to complete and a computer is not needed. If you have questions, please do not hesitate to ask. ALL 4-H members are expected to turn in a record book. They do NOT have to be judged but you do need to turn in a completed (Sections 1-7) record book. Just a quick reminder to the adults of our program: Thank you for being terrific role models to our young people. Re-member that ultimately, I am responsible for this 4-H program. What that means is that every 4-H volunteer needs to be screened; they need to be trained in either the on-line volunteer training or chaperone training; if you sign off on a horse safety certification I am responsible right with you; all moneys raised in the name of 4-H need to be accounted for (IRS requirement) and all of our activities need to be conducted with my full knowledge (this includes Facebook pages). I think we do incredible things in this county and with your assistance we can do even more!! Thank you!!
