Working of Enhanced Air Finned Cooler.
It is filled with a liquid (the thermal transfer medium) appropriate to temperature of application.
The working fluid evaporates extracting heat from the process liquid
Vapour moves towards fin side of the tube wherein it dissipates heat to the ambient and condenses.
The condensed liquid comes back to the bottom portion.
The cycle repeats,

What is Enhanced Air Finned Cooler ?
Sealed Chamber wherein a working Substance Evaporates and Condenses.
Passive device (No Moving Parts).
Extremely high, effective thermal conductivity (as much as 1,000 times that of Cu).

Advantage over Standard Water Cooled Hear Exchanger

Cost of water is to be born all the time when the heat exchanger is on; the cost of water at the rate of 25lpm, @ Rs. 5/- per cubic meter is Rs. 65000/- (approx) per year.
No water is required, so its saves the cost of Pumps, Valves and Water for circulation for cooling.
Dissolved salts in water get deposited on the outer surface of the tube and reduces thermal conductivity, due to this out-let temperature increases and may cause seal failure also water consumption increases after scale formation.
Cooler efficiency remains almost constant.Possibility of seal failure due to temperature rise can be avoided.
In coil type Heat Exchanger if the coil is not properly vented circulation stops causing mechanical seal failure.
Self-venting, so no circulation required.
Scaling/Fouling may create the un-schedule shut down of the pump that causes the production loss. The loss of one Un-Scheduled shut down may be between Rs. 50,000/- to Rs. 1,00,000.
No un-scheduled maintenance due to cooler.
