Corporate Affairs• The entity Air China Limited was registered in 2003; on December 15,
2004, its shares started trading in Hong Kong and London.
• The airline company entity initially was Air China International, founded in 2002.
• Air China International merged with China Southwest Airlines and the air transport services of the China National Aviation Company, and became a new entity.
• The Air China Headquarters Building, the company headquarters, is located in Zone A of the Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone in Shunyi District, Beijing.
• The airline’s registered office is located on the ninth floor of the Blue Sky Mansion, also in Zone A of the Tianzhu Airport Industrial Zone.

DESTINATIONS
Destinations • The route network of Air China extends all over Asia to the Middle East, Western
Europe, and North America via its biggest hub at Beijing Capital International Airport; additionally, the airline currently reaches a considerable number of Asian, Australian, and European destinations via Shanghai.
• Some international routes operate via Chengdu, Chongqing, Dalian, Hangzhou, Kunming, and Xiamen.
• Air China started serving its first destination in South America, São Paulo (from Madrid) on 10 December 2006; this was the airline’s longest direct flight.
• The service was launched with Boeing 737-300 aircraft, but because of increasing demands, the service has been advanced to the Airbus A330-200.

• Air China’s frequent flyer program is Phoenix Miles; it is the first frequent flyer program started in China.
• It was created to reward frequent flyers traveling (either internationally or domestically) with Air China and its partners.
• Members receive mileages for traveling on Air China, its affiliated partners, and partner airlines; the companion card may be promoted to VIP status.
• There are unique redemption rates for VIP members (Gold card members and Platinum card members):
• Silver card members (Star Alliance Silver): receive 25% mileage bonus on eligible flights
• Gold card members (Star Alliance Gold): receive 30% mileage bonus on eligible flights
• Platinum card members (Star Alliance Gold): receive 50% mileage bonus on eligible flights
AIR CHINA CARGO
Air China Cargo• Air China Cargo is an airline headquartered in Shunyi District, Beijing
District, China.
• It is an all-cargo subsidiary of Air China, operating scheduled freighter services to twenty cities in ten countries worldwide.
• Its largest hub, as with Air China, is Beijing Capital International Airport.
• It was founded on 12 December 2003 and began operations shortly afterward.
• It is owned by Air China, its parent company (51%), CITIC Pacific (25%), and Beijing Capital International (24%), and has almost 4,000 employees as of March 2013.
• Air China and Cathay Pacific announced the merging of their cargo business to the new Air China Cargo.
