International Benchmark Assessment – ALIS for year 12 Formative assessment :- is ongoing , based on day to day classroom practice, where bothteacher and student use feedback to improve learning and identifying what the next steps shouldbe.Summative assessment –end of term, end of year, Final board exams. It is to measure the level of success that a student has obtained and to evaluate student’s learning at the end of the term.This comprehensive assessment programme helps in obtaining a clear picture of where a student is relative to learning targets. The more we know about individual students as they engage in the learning process, the better we can support to ensure that all students continue to achieve and move forward in their learning.

Formative:- Peer and Self MarkingDiagnostic MarkingTarget setting
Summative:- End of unit tests, end of term assessments, pre-mocks, mocks and end of year exams. These are marked according to IGCSE grade bands and AS/A - Level criteria.
Tracking and recording data – Students’ progress is tracked and monitored regularly. Underachieving students are identified and offered support. Teacher marking is done in green ink-once a week, peer marking in a different colourthan written text and self in pencil as and when in the class.

Each of us in the Parent Representative Group felt that through our work, wtoo enriched ourselves in many ways.
The two major areas were
Understanding the expectations of the school from both the parents and thstudents, which was very necessary to benefit from the numerous activities planned by the school for the children.

Also when the children see their parents working as a team with the school it impacts their outlook and attitude positively

Attendance
Attendance is directly related to performance and progress.
KHDA- 98% is outstanding attendance, 96% is good and less than 92 % is unsatisfactory.
Punctuality – Be in school by 7:45 am.
Parents are not expected to be around the classes/corridors during contact time especially after 7:45 a.m. and before 2:00 p.m.
