• In the Set Up Mode you can– Set the cleaning

• Enter the set up mode by pressing and holding power and reset buttons for 5 seconds
• The display will indicate how the unit is programmed
• The factory settings are displayed
• To change settings press power button once

• Scroll through the settings by repeatedly pressing reset button
• To save the settings and advance to the next setting press the power button once
• Exit the set up mode by pressing and holding power and reset buttons for 5 seconds

Normal Operation
• During normal operation the green LED #1 with flash slowly when the blower is operating
• There may be some other LED’s on based upon time to clean intervals

Need for Service
• Three yellow flashing LED’s indicates the controls have detected 10 consecutive high voltage shut downs
• Three red flashing LED’s indicates the controls have detected the same fault 3 times in a row after a high voltage shut down

Fault Code Retrieval
• To enter the fault code log– Go into the set up mode
(press and hold power and reset for 5 seconds)
– Press and hold reset for 10 seconds
• Display goes out• Green LED #1 and a
combination of yellow and red LED’s indicate the first recorded fault in the log

Fault Code Log
• Matching the pattern of LED flashes will give an indication of what fault has been posted to the fault code log
• The column on the right of the chart will provide the recommended service procedure for that fault
• An example is service procedure #5 is for repetitive arcing. The service procedure is to clean collection cell and field charger and check for arcing through plastic frame to cabinet
Clear Fault Code Log
• To clear all 3 fault codes from the log– Press and hold the reset button 2 to 4
seconds while the fault codes are being displayed
– The red and yellow LED’s will go out – The green LED will remain on to indicate
which fault code number is being displayed
• To exit fault code log press and hold the power and reset buttons for 5 seconds
Test Unit Components
• There are 4 tests that can be performed using internal unit controls– High voltage relay test– LED test– High voltage output test– Thermostat input test
Test Unit Components
• Entering the component test mode– Press and hold the power button until all ten LED’s
come on then release the power button. The air cleaner is now off and LED’s should step off one at a time
– Press the reset button 3 times in a row within 20 seconds of the LED’s stepping off
– The pre-filter light will come on– Quickly press and hold the power and reset buttons at
the same time – The pre-filter LED will begin to flash and continue to
flash as long as the unit is in the component test mode.
• The green LED #1 should be on

The green LED’s will show which of the tests the controls are in
High Voltage Relay Test
• Green LED #1 “on” indicates high voltage relay test mode
• There are 3 tests within the high voltage relay section
• Yellow LED’s indicate the test being performed

• The red LED’s show the condition of each test
• The read out indicates– High Voltage Relay
test– High voltage input
current test– Condition is within

LED Test
• To advance from the high voltage relay test to LED test press the power button once
• All 10 LED’s will come on
• Press the reset button once to turn each individual LED off

High Voltage Output Test
• Pressing the power button once will advance the controls to high voltage output test
• There are 4 high voltage output tests in this section
• The tests range from 0 VDC to 9.6KVDC output
High Voltage Output Test
• Green LED’s 1 & 2 will be on for these tests
• Yellow LED’s indicate which test is being performed
• Red LED’s indicate the condition of the test
• The display indicates – High voltage output test (Green LED’s)– 9.6KVDC output test (Yellow LED)– Output is within range (Red LED)
• If test 1 is rerun after completing other tests it will take a few seconds for the condition to come into range

Thermostat Input Test
• Press the power button once to advance to thermostat input test
• There are 3 tests in this section• A thermostat call for heat (W)
• A thermostat call for indoor blower (G)• 24VAC input to the air cleaner

• This display indicates– Thermostat input test
(green LED)– A thermostat call for
indoor blower (G) (yellow LED)
– 24VAC input voltage is below minimum range (red LED)
• Low 24VAC input could be the result of VA rating of transformer

Exiting Component Test
• There are 3 ways to exit the component test mode
• Press and hold the power and reset buttons of 5 seconds
• Remove 24 volt power supply to the air cleaner
• Wait 5 minutes without touching any buttons
Power Door Test
• Tools required– A high voltage probe and
compatible volt/ohm meter or
– A screwdriver, jumper wire with alligator clips, tape and dry paper
• Turn off the air cleaner and remove the power door
• Form a piece of wire to be used to depress the door interlock switch
Power Door Test
Caution high voltage is present for this test
• Turn the air cleaner on and enter the set up mode
• Adjust the power setting for normal (9.6 KVDC)
• Exit the set-up mode and wait for green LED #1 to begin to flash
• Connect the high voltage probe per manufacture instructions
• Touch the center contact of the power door
• The voltage should read 9.6KVDC +/- 600 volts
Power Door Test
• Using a screwdriver, jumper wire, and dry paper
• Tape a piece of paper to the screwdriver extending ½” beyond the end
• Connect the jumper wire from the screwdriver shaft to the ground contact of the power door
Power Door Test
• Form a piece of wire to depress the door interlock switch• Turn the air cleaner on and enter the set up mode• Adjust the power setting to normal (9.6KVDC)• Wait for green LED #1 to begin to flash • Take the plastic handle screwdriver move it close to
center power door contact• When the paper touches the center contact the power
supply should arc to the screwdriver• When the arc occurs the power supply will shut down for
10 minutes• If the arc occurs when the paper is near or touching the
contact the power supply is good• If no arc occurs the power supply is bad. Replace the
power door
Cleaning
• Pre-filter cleaning– The pre-filter may be vacuumed or washed – It should be completely dry before re-installing
• Collection cell cleaning– The collection cells may be vacuumed or
washed– Vacuum both sides– Wash using low pressure sprayer. Warm
water will remove some residue
Cleaning
• Do Not– Use soap or detergents on collection cells– Immerse collection cells completely in water– Place collection cells into a dishwasher
• If water is used in cleaning collection cells– Slightly tap the collection cell to remove water– The collection cell must be dry before re-installing
• Reset filter timers– Reset pre-filter timer: press and hold the reset button
until pre-filter LED goes out (1 to 2 seconds)– Reset collection cell timer: press and hold reset
button until collection cell LED’s go out (4 to 5 seconds)
Cleaning
• Cleaning field charger– Field charger should be
cleaned annually
• Turn air cleaner off and remove power door
• Bend field charge locking tab down and remove field charger
• Wipe face plate with dry shop towel or vacuum

Field Charger Cleaning
• Power off for minimum 15 seconds– Remove from case and lay on
flat surface
• Bend locking tab down and remove field charger
• Wipe face with shop towel– Do not disassemble the field
charger
• Use a piece of foam to clean ionizing pins and faceplate leading edges– Ionizing pins are easy to bend
Cleaning
• Caution field charger pins are sharp– Do not bend pins– Wear gloves
• Use a block of foam to clean the pins– Push the foam block over
the pin– Rotate the foam block – Use the foam block to
clean faceplate opening edges
• Reinstall field charger and bend one locking tab
Trouble Shooting
• Air Passing Through the Cleaner Emits a Slight Sound– Select Lower “Power Setting” in the “Set Up”
Mode to Reduce– Minimal Impact on Cleaning Efficiency
